Welcome to Year 7 of our Pan It! Challenge
The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Good luck this year! @AznAngelLiz. This is a nice solid grouping and you've already come so far with your TF bronzer. ( That's impressive. 🤩) You'll be into LYS before you know it.
Seriously trying so hard to finish TF by end of Feb. I think I can do it even if I have to look like a clown some days due to over bronzing LOL @CynthieLu
You definitely got this, it'll be finished before you know it. @AznAngelLiz 😄
Okay 2024!!!
I have 10 (11) items I'm looking to completely finish this year. I tried to pick items that I like okay, but that I do not reach for naturally. I don't need these in my collection, but I also feel bad 'wasting' them. I have everything sitting in a bin in my washroom where I get ready. Some of these may seem like easy peasy items, but I learned last year... that not everything is as it seems!
@missjeanie this is A great project! A good mix of products and a manageable amount. 1 definitely feel the struggle of those "gimme" products that don't seem to quit! I had a Joe fresh liner years ago and I remember it lasting forever too - so-long in fact that by the time I went replace it, the shade had been discontinued, cant wait to se new you do this Year!
@cianni Does Joe Fresh even do make up anymore? It's been so eye opening the last few years seeing just how long some products really can last!
@missjeanie I believe you can still get a limited selection at Loblaws branded stores, but I used to pick it up at shoppers. According to google, shoppers started phasing out the line in 2018… I swear it doesn’t feel like 5 years ago that I had purchased joe fresh at a pharmacy! I don’t do a lot of my grocery shopping at loblaws so I don’t see the line anymore/have any idea what the selection is
@cianni I'm only in either Shoppers or Loblaws randomly. I know for a fact this eyeliner is ridiculously old. As in I'm embarrassed that I'm still using it. And at the same time impressed that it's still usable!
@missjeanie Youre not missing much - shoppers has gotten insanely expensive lately, for just about everything! I do recall my liner being super old too, but never drying out or not performing well, even at the end. And all for under $5 (I think?)
@missjeanie, I’m feeling for you with that body lotion! You’re so close: sooo close. It’s gonna be one where slow and steady wins the race, but it’ll take everything you have to keep going. I wish there were a way we could make it more of an exciting product for you to use … hey, thinking aloud here … wondering if combining the Pacifica fragrance with the lotion would make it at least smell better?
Or what if you made your own foot mask with it? Since it already takes some time to absorb. Slather it on your feet, cover with Saran Wrap and wear a pair of socks, maybe even a double pair over that? 🤔
You & @Samtian will be pan buddies when it comes to that GXVE palette. I love the boring eye shadow palettes but completely get they don’t hold the same level of excitement for everyone else. 😆 Would pairing it with a shimmery shade each time you use it make if more fun for you?
@missjeanie Ooh that is some nice pan already!!! @itsfi Haha I'm actually sitting it out this year.
@Samtian Lol... that's the only shade I've really used! The real trick will be using the others. Fingers crossed though!
@itsfi I've been contemplating combining a fragrance into the dang body lotion. That may happen! Once I figure out how to surgically remove the roller ball from that guy, it may suddenly empty a lot depending on how graceful of surgeon I am!
I actually like the GXVE formula just fine, and I tend to very much prefer mattes over shimmer shades. I just find that the shades are warmer than I like. If they were a bit cooler or rosier... then we'd be talking about buying backups! I knew I wanted to try some kind of shadow panning and figured a quad was as adventurous as I could get and I wanted to try one that was going to be easier to use. This one should be easy enough to use daily for me if I can give up my favourite mauve tones here and there!
Eeek! Be careful with that surgical procedure @missjeanie! I've used the tip of the file on a nail clipper before, thinking it would be my safest option, but that involved some special care, which I'm sure had more to do with the non-surgeon pretending to be one. 🤣
@itsfi This non surgeon was thinking maybe a steak knife??? That’s what I usually use to pull stoppers out of concealer and lipgloss. Might need to go out to the garage and start looking at the heavy duty tools if that doesn’t work.
Oh, I think a steak knife would work @missjeanie. Just be careful. It's a little different than cutting into a steak. Maybe plan to have a steak afterwards. 😃
