To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.
Getting Started(please share the following)
Which item(s) you would like to work on
How long you will work on said item
Goal: explore a new item, revisit an old item, decide whether to keep pass or trash, and/or completely finish item, etc.
Starting photo of item
Please Use This Thread To...

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Take photos!!When you think you aren’t making a dent in anything look back at those photos, I’m certain you’ll see some changes😃*this is the number one recommendation for everyone, regardless of how long you’ve been panning! Those photos add up and can help you realize progress you might otherwise overlook.
If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc.
Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades you’re not fond of).
Have shadows with a ton of fall out?Use water
Watching the progress of others’ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs. We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
Don’t restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.It’s more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
Makeup should be fun….if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!Do not force yourself to use up something you don’t like.Move on to something else! (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)
No problem @ElleElleG, happy to help. It’s always when you want to focus on something that a million other things pop up and they all need your time even if there’s just one of you! 😆 Never fails.
@itsfi Thanks for tagging me. I actually was going through all my products this afternoon. I will go through my product and pick out which ones I want and hopefully post tomorrow!! Although most of the bulk of my items are foils!
@ather, would love to have you join in but no pressure. Oh, foils. You could put the ones you want to use up on in a container or bag and have going through all of them be a pan item.
@itsfi thats a great idea! I have been putting them in a small basket on my dresser or strategically placing them by the sink or in the shower to use more. Which has been working too but I need to get them under control more!
And mine aren't even that close to hand, @itsfi unless I bring some into my daily makeup section of my storage, they're stuffed in an old pink Ipsy mailer on a closet shelf. Easy to forget about.
Yep, same @heavyhedon! For skincare foils, the majority of my foils are of products I already use or that I really want to try and with the latter I try to keep it on the smaller side so I can just try one product at a time. Better for my skin that way. I’ve also been decanting my current products into travel size containers or keeping mini jars of products to refill for travel or my gym bag. Most of my foils these days are hair or makeup related.
@ather, I don’t think I have 40 foils (I shouldn’t - I tried to use most of them over the last couple of years but you never know 😂) but I’d be up for working through what I have with a Foil February or February Foils.
@haleyvvvv I would count sheet masks as a foil! @missjeanie thoughts? I have a stack of sheet masks expiring this year! @itsfi @Maybe you have a stack like me?
You guys crack me up! @ather@haleyvvvv@itsfi I have an entire suitcase still full of sheet masks... which I'm now going to refer to as foils. It sounds so much better than saying over 300 foils in lieu of sheet masks. Single use to me works as a foil!
