HUGE round of applause for the 2020 Panners ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ Despite an incredibly hectic year I couldn't be more proud of each and every one of you who spent even a second thinking about your projects. It was a huge inspiration for me and I'm sure others as well. Cannot wait to see your new projects and whatever this year has in store for us!
The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.
Getting Started(please share the following)
Which item(s) you would like to work on
How long you will work on said item
Goal: explore a new item, revisit an old item, decide whether to keep pass or trash, and/or completely finish item, etc.
Starting photo of item
Please Use This Thread To...
share what item(s) you are working on,
provide comparative progress photos of your item(s) monthly (at the beginning of the month when possible),
ask questions,
encourage others,
motivate others with the looks you create with your item(s)
Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Take photos!!When you think you arenโt making a dent in anything look back at those photos, Iโm certain youโll see some changes๐
If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc.
Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades youโre not fond of).
Have shadows with a ton of fall out?Use water
Watching the progress of othersโ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs. We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
Donโt restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.Itโs more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
Makeup should be funโฆ.if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!Do not force yourself to use up something you donโt like.Move on to something else! (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)
I know blush is hard to pan and Iโm up for the challenge. This is one of my fav blushes so itโs not hard to reach for it. Just trying to increase how much while still using some newer blushes- so many coming out right now and I love trying blush!. Thanks for the encouragement.
@BluePaisley, these are spectacular products for project pan! I see so much great work by you. I saw pan on your ABH powder and was super excited!!! Woohoo! ๐ I'm glad to hear you like the Dior concealer; I picked one up recently after hearing some raves for it.
Thank you so much! Iโve already used an entire ABH duo before, they are so good and so glad to hit pan. Dior concealer is wonderful- donโt think Iโll ever be without it or the nars creamy! I picked to pan products that I really enjoy to use! I hope you love the Dior!
Midway through the year, here are my Pan It Results so far. My focus was to use powders that were lingering like the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores powder, Lancome pressed powder samples, BB Sheer Powder, and BB Brightening Powder, and to finish/make a dent in skincare and cosmetics like the Kate Sommerville Goat Milk Eye Balm, BB Makeup Melter, BB Extra Moisturizing Balm, CT Colour of Youth Blush, BB Glow Stick, and Tom Ford Afternooner palette.
Completely panned the IT Cosmetics powder, BB Makeup Melter, BB Extra Moisturizing Balm, and Milk eyeliner. A big thank you to all who provide panning inspiration in this thread!

I'm making quite some progress on my pan it goals. Besides perfumes and mists, every category I have now has at least one thing used in it. I have also tested 14 palettes of eye shadows so far. And have destashed 25 items including lipsticks!
@Samtian, you have always been so inspirational! I love seeing all of the eyeshadow looks you do with all sorts of different pallets! They always look gorgeous.
@blackkitty2014 Lol it's hard! I just look at all the stuff I have and realize I have so much by the time I use my favorites or anything they'll be expired or ruined lol.
