Can y'all believe 2019 is literally knocking on the door?? Given its proximity it's high time we get the 2019 Panning Challenge Rolling.
The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.
Getting Started(please share the following)
Which item(s) you would like to work on
How long you will work on said item
Goal: explore a new item, revisit an old item, decide whether to keep pass or trash, and/or completely finish item, etc.
Starting photo of item
Please Use This Thread To...
share what item(s) you are working on,
provide comparative progress photos of your item(s) monthly (at the beginning of the month when possible),
ask questions,
encourage others,
motivate others with the looks you create with your item(s)
Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Take photos!!When you think you arenโt making a dent in anything look back at those photos, Iโm certain youโll see some changes๐
If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc.
Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades youโre not fond of).
Have shadows with a ton of fall out?Use water
Watching the progress of othersโ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs. We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
Donโt restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.Itโs more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
Makeup should be funโฆ.if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!Do not force yourself to use up something you donโt like.Move on to something else! (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)
I know I said that I would give a 2nd week update, but my mental state is just hectic lately. Today is the first day in a while I've felt okay. Good news: I hit pan on one of my items! Your โค๏ธs on my post have kept me going. Thank you. ๐
@joragroy no worries. Itโs good to hear from ppl whenever they get the chance to update the thread so Iโm glad you were able to share an update with us. Congrats on the pan and hope your day gets better! ๐
Ive been making some great progress on panning these two Tom Ford items. One of the TF Seductive Rose quad that I started using back in 2017. Ive been regularly using it this past year and Ive still got plenty more to go. The other is a Tom Ford Cream and Shadow Color in Peach. Its such a pretty color and the top coat is a nice glittery finish. Its definitely one of my favorite items.
@PenelopeBT Iโve been trying so hard to pan this quad! Iโm ready for a new palette haha but yes I think Iโve gone through this faster than I have any other eyeshadow palette ๐
I think Iโve made some good progress since last time! I have 1-2 uses in the bare minerals and revlon bases, as well as the setting spray. Iโve completely used up the blondie multistick from bite, which I loved. Now Iโm working through a bronzer/contour stick from ulta. Iโm decluttering two mascaras since it was their time to go. Iโm also decluttering an eyeshadow stick, a stila liquid eyeshadow, and a liquid lipstick from smashbox. They were great products, but they were either dried out or irritated my eyes.
You're doing great! I really love the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue, I've been using it for years. I've recent tried their BAREMINERALS - COMPLEXION RESCUE Hydrating Foundation Stick Broad Spectrum SPF 25 and I'm in love it. It's great for those days when you want medium coverage, but a very natural look. You can also apply it easily with your fingers, too.<333
here's septembers update and we'll start with the big one!!! i finally finished the lorac megapro 2!!! i've been working on this thing off and on for years but here we are!
i also finished one of the shades in my zpalette and have some pretty good progress on another...everything else is moving along, some quicker than others
