It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

I wanted to start this thread as a place to share about a beauty tool or tools that have worked for you, be it something you use for your skin (e.g., gua sha, face roller, spetralite face mask, etc.), or your body (body gua sha, infrared PEMF mat), or  nails (e.g., glass file), or elsewhere.

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@itsfi  Makes sense. Falling asleep with mask on is bad. Falling asleep doing yoga is good!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

lol @ather. I suspect that means we just need to get in better sleep. That's always one to work on for me. Maybe I'll get better with it, and then I can mark off a square forWellness In Progress: November 2024

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@itsfi  Ooooo what is this square thing I can mark off!! I need to check out this thread!! I too struggle with sleep issues. Iโ€™ve tried most tricks in the books or online. But Iโ€™m always up to check out new challenges!!

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Does everyone know what time it is? โš’๏ธ

Tool time!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tools, tools tools!

I have a few Beauty Insider and Sephora Collection brushes to share. Some for applying or removing face masks,

and a lovely little one for applying eye creams.

I had to include my cute ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr O/S X WICKED - Off the Handle Complexion Blush ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿงน

A BIC ring light ๐Ÿ”ฆ๐Ÿ’– ( thank you! @TeamBIC )

And, shamefully, I hate to admit I haven't been giving these enough love lately.

NuFACE FIXยฎ Starter Kit

NuFACE NuFACEยฎ Mini+ Starter Kit

L.E.D Facemask

@itsfi I dusted off my Nuface and L.E.D mask and started working then back into my routine. I hate that I invested in these tools and have been slacking *hard* on using them lately. If it wasn't for your thread I think they'd still be sitting neglected. ๐Ÿ™ Thank you for all your motivating threads ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@CynthieLu, these are some gorgeous beauty tools you have - and yes, I agree, the ONE/Size x Wicked brush haaaaad to be included - it's so cute. ๐Ÿ˜  How often do you reach for your NuFace or LED mask during the week? Or, how often would you ideally be reaching for them?

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Thank you @itsfi  I am kicking myself a little for letting some of these gather dust.

You know, when it comes to the Light Therapy Mask and Nu Face, I think 3 times a week would be satisfying. I'd feel like I'm doing it enough to be getting results. I find using these both feel so relaxing and calming.๐Ÿ’ž

They are both self care rituals I love. But..making the time for self care, that's a struggle some days.

I try to make Nuface part of my start-the-day routine and save the L.E.D mask for before bed. That way it's not as overwhelming when I'm trying to incorporate both as they are both a little time consuming.

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@CynthieLu, I think most of us can be said of letting our proucts, tools incuded, collect dust. ๐Ÿคฃ It happens, just have to try to get back to using them, if you find they work for you. Good idea to divide their use between day and night.

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Going to eventually come back & expound.  Tools thus far:

Heavies:

Dyson Dyson Supersonicโ„ข Hair Dryer

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare DRx SpectraLiteโ„ข FaceWare Pro

SEPHORA COLLECTION Vegan Makeup Remover and Cleansing Brush

PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross Mist Spray Bottle

Also, just picked up a foaming bottle off of Amazon for my micellar water via @WinglessOne , ๐Ÿคฌ amazing!!!

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

I love having a spray bottle like your Pattern one @danielledanielle. I'm not washing my hair everyday anymore and having the mist is helpful when my hair is in need of certain products that do better when applied onto hair. Ahhh, I should work that DDG mask back into my routine. Good reminder.

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

It's definitely a game changer for me.  The pattern bottle also has like a slow release, so it lets out a nice continuous stream of mist @itsfi .  I've also used it just as a refresher for humid days.  I fill it with filtered water, whereas I was using the avene compressed ones, this is way cheaper and more sustainable.

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@danielledanielle foaming bottle?

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@danielledanielle thank you!

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@danielledanielle  Hooray for fluffy foamy micellar water! โ˜๏ธ Thatโ€™ll definitely be on my tools list, if/when I finally post it in this thread. ๐Ÿ˜… So will my Supersonic + diffuser attachment.

And youโ€™ve just reminded me I havenโ€™t used my DDG LED mask in quite some timeโ€ฆ Iโ€™m very inconsistent about using it. I take it youโ€™re getting good results with yours? Thatโ€™s great!

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Call me already invested in that post @WinglessOne !

It took a few tries, but yes, I'm pretty consistent with my DDG and have used the 3-6 minutes to also incorporate a daily stretch as noted in @Mellmars1185 Habit Stacking Thread ๐Ÿ“š    It's effective for acne, as for fine lines they are stable, meaning they don't look any deeper, and I imagine the combo of LED, diet , lifestyle (skincare, exercise, habits) all hold cards here

I have the Spectra eye mask, an older version, but didn't notice much a difference, so that fell to the wayside.  I told hubbs he could use it, but he never uses it either ๐Ÿ˜†

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

I really like my jade roller and gua sha, though they don't do much it feels so great on my face and is like a massage.

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

They do feel really good thou. @CatsLoveCake ๐Ÿ˜Š

I think it's nice to get to take the time to just slow down and enjoy a little self care too. ๐Ÿฉท

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Ahhhh, a facial massage sounds lovely, @CatsLoveCake, what a treat!! How often do you use a jade roller or gua sha?

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

@CatsLoveCake Lovely self care tools! Do you use any serums or products when you use these tools?

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Fun @itsfi !

I think I mentioned these couple times. Got these in June and been using it almost everyday since then.

They don't feel particularly lux in hand but the way these blend my cheek products out, it's so soft and airbrushed.

Additionally, they're the perfect size for each application, blush, contour, bronzer. I find that it picks up just the right amount of product and helps me focus the product placement and prevent overblending/muddiness!

Re: It's Tool Time - The BIC Beauty Edition

Oooouh, soft and airbrushed cheek products @jaaayp? I'm intrigued. I mean, I'm sure user error accounts for 99.999% of my cheek products looking less airbrushed and more muddied than I'd like, but brushes would certainly help, right?! lol
