How do I stop fallout from eyeshadow onto my lashes?

This is one of my only pet peeves with makeup. Today I wore some eyeshadow and put on mascara, I look at the mirror and see the color just sitting on my lashes making them look less full.

@VanessaCovino Try using an eyeshadow primer like Urban Decay Honey Eyeshadow Primer Potion Ornament and tapping off your eyeshadow brush before putting it on your eyes.
