Foundation/concealer that won't separate

Whenever I use foundation/concealer the makeup begins to separate. I do have a skincare prep routine and use a hydrating primer. I've tried countless foundations and have failed to find one that doesn't separate. Do y'all have any suggestions or product recommendations?

@greatnessforme, consider working in setting powder and/or seeing spray between you steps.  Some areas are just prime to making more oils (nose folds, around the jaw), so you would add either (or both) to that area.

You may ask...Will it look cakey? Depends on how you do it and your skincare prep and other products.  I don't use a lot foundation near my laugh lines, just whatever is left on the brush.  Sometimes I have to wear a mask, so I find it separates regardless of what I do 🤷🏽‍♀️, but I just touch it up.
