Ikea Partners with Byredo's Ben Gorham.  Unveils collection of 13 scented candles

Ikea is collaborating with Byredo’s Ben Gorham on Osynlig, a collection of 13 scented candles which provoke memories and heighten the experience of being at home. 

According to the Ikea Life at Home report, people make a strong connection between how they perceive smell, and their feeling of home.

This knowledge inspired Ikea’s collaboration with Gorham, founder of luxury fragrance and fashion house Byredo. Osynlig, Swedish for "invisible," is a collection of 13 scented candles that are made to provoke a wide range of emotion – from nostalgia for the things you’ve done, to dreams of the things you might do – and, above all, heighten the experience of being at home.

“Smell is a very relevant part of the home, and it creates a sense of comfort and security. We’re trying to develop a ton of smells enforcing the idea that everyone has a different relationship to it, and nothing is right or wrong,” Gorham says.

The collection will be launched in November 2020

Thanks for the heads up @ZombieMetroAnt .  They smell so good.  I grabbed several of these yesterday.  My favorite is the tobacco & honey and sandalwood & vanilla.

FYI for anyone wanting these... Don't procrastinate because there was one scent my store was out of that I wanted, and the employee checked to see when they would get a restock.  He said they will not be restocking these.  Bummer.

Wow @ZombieMetroAnt When is this coming out? I loved Beetlejuice as a kid and still do. I went dressed as Beetlejuice in kindergarten. All the other little girls were dressed as fairies and princesses and then there was me. I remember my hair was mussed sticking out and some makeup at my temples to make my face look dirty. I really wish I had a picture of that. My mom has one somewhere but doesn't know where.
