Wow.  Ummmm...with Tatcha suing Too Faced over a lipstick tube design, why aren't these guys being sued big time by everyone?  Or are they?

VB/EL are also the same company (for the makeup) so wouldn't surprise me they would use packaging in common. VB looks very like the Tom Ford (also owned by EL)? Had they not hat the same parent company I think there would have been issues raised. CT worked with Tom Ford on his original makeup line so maybe there was a licensing agreement behind the scenes.

@Titian06 EL may have popularized the ridged golden lipstick tubes, but other brands had made similar lipstick cases before it EL adopted the look making it a familiar vintage lipstick style. And it does fit CT's desired aesthetic of old Hollywood.

@heartsmyface - How about Charlotte Tilbury's rose gold ridged lipstick tubes?  When I saw those, I immediately thought of the Estee Lauder ridged gold lipstick tubes of the 1980s.  That was the company's signature lipstick tube.  I believe EL did a LE rose gold tube as well as a faceted cut lipstick both in the late 2000s.  CT didn't launch until the 20-teens.

When a little company "copies," they're viewed as a bad guy and should be sued.  When a big company copies, it's called "inspiration" and they're lauded for it.

@heartsmyface - No trademark infringement such as a logo or font.  Nonfunctional colors can be trademarked by a company for the situation in which they're known such as Robin's Egg Blue by Tiffany for bags and boxes, Pink by Owens-Corning for insulation, or Canary Yellow by 3M for adhesive notes.

Yup! Yet, their highlighters are actually quite good, so, I have to admit that I'm suddenly really looking forward to testing these! ✨ It'll be hard to get up to the Cover FX quality, I'm sure.

Same. I think I'm going to hold out for the actual holiday blush palette that they previewed. I would just hate to spend the money to find out that this year's blush book is poor quality again.

Hmmmmm..... So I have the Rose Gold Palette and Angelic is one of my favorite colors, but I'm a little bummed to see it in the new palette, too. 

I guess Angelic is to Huda as Pink Champagne is to ABH... 😉

I hope that this palette turns out to be good, it's so pretty and purples are my favorite.
