Dual eneded brush Vs single brush

hi guys!! Would you prefer to buy single face brush or multipurpose dual ended face brush? Your feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Dual eneded brush Vs single brush

Hi @farclub ! Single brushes are easier to maintain. I have too much trouble washing double-ended brushes: cleanser and water always end up running down into the ferrules, causing damage. Drying them is a pain because I have to lay them flat (vs. hang/stand them bristles-down) in a way that lets both bristle ends hang over the edge of something, unless both ends are a flat enough shape that they wonโ€™t dry misshapen if laid flat on a tabletop to dry.

I do kinda get the appeal of dual-ended brushes: fewer brushes overall to store, convenient for travel, and maybe cost-savingโ€”though there are some overpriced dual-end brushes out there vs. some reasonably priced single brushes. Some of my face brushes are stored either flat or hanging bristles-down, and I could easily store dual-ended face brushes that way too. But if had to keep all my brushes in cups/jars, then dual-ended brushes would be a no-go. For travel, I bring either a mini/short-handled brush or a retractable brush.

Re: Dual eneded brush Vs single brush

I'm always prefering a single ended brush @farclub .  I prefer them for storage (I keep mine in jars so I'm not wanting to have bristles smushed at the bottom of a jar).  I also lay my brushes with bristles angled down for cleaning/drying.  I've also found over the years that the brushes I prefer are never in a combo.  So any combos I've gotten or seen usually only have one end that I'm going to favour.

Re: Dual eneded brush Vs single brush

@farclub @I have both and I barely use my dual end brushes because of storage space. You canโ€™t store them upright which is a drawback.

Re: Dual eneded brush Vs single brush

@SportyGirly125 & @farclub .  Washing them is also a nuisance for similar reasons.

ETA: Travel would be the only possible advantage I could think of, like less brushes to bring, but even then, I look for mini brushes to avoid the wash issue.
