Cleaning makeup brushes. Need advice !

Hi! I recently decided to upgrade my brush collection to some higher end brushes from makeup by mario, it cosmetics and saie. I want to ensure that they last many years and stay in great condition. Does anyone have recommendations for the safest way to wash the brushes to promote longevity snd ensure that bristles donโ€™t fall out or get damaged ? I was looking into cinema cleaner but heard thatโ€™s not effective enough for a full deep clean

@nattt12 I use SEPHORA COLLECTION Jumbo Deep-Cleaning Brush and Sponge Shampoo 8.45 oz / 250 ml  and a Sigma mat to wash the brushes clean and a Benjabelle brush rack to hang my brushes upside down to dry. I have had brushes I bought in 2010 still in really good condition.

Hi!

I use the brush bath by IT cosmetics. If I need to need to clean my brushes when I donโ€™t have access to the brush bath, I put some soap in my palm, dilute the soap it needed and thenwet the brush in warm water.  I work the brush in back and forth motion to create a soap lather in my palm and rinse off the brush in warm water.

Hope this helps!

@nattt12,

I use a microfiber towel, color switches, drying rack and Beautyblender blendercleanserยฎ solid Charcoal .  Other soaps can be used, some people use dish detergent and it gets their brushes clean.   In the past I've also used liquids from beautyblender and Sigma.  I like the charcoal solid the best.  Most of my denser brushes do well with it.

I also have a daily spray, but I use that for natural hair brushes.  When I do the deep clean, I try to angle the brush so it gets wet, but aim it away from the ferrule.  I used to dry them flat, but I think some brushes got water in the ferrule, hence the drying rack.  I use the towel to get the excess water out.  (The microfiber towel can also be used as a day to day color switch, btw)
