Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

I thought it would be interesting to see what everybody's own individual look is! Here's a challenge for you: List a max of 10 steps that include your skincare routine as well as your makeup routine to complete your everyday look. I know some of us may use more steps in the morning, but try your best to make ten. Please include the products you use and your skin type (i.e. normal, dry, oily, combo) And remember... “The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you!” -Coco Chanel

Example:

Skin type - Combo

1.) Ocean Salt cleanser by LUSH

2.) Tea Tree Toner by LUSH

3.) Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

4.) Revlon Photo Ready Concealer in light/medium

5.) Tarte BB Cream in light

6.) MAC Eye Shadow in espresso (brow filler)

7.) Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful

8.) Bobbi Brown Bronzer in golden light

9.) L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in carbon black

10.) YSL glossy lip stain #7

Good luck! Smiley Happy

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Gotta love those Laura Mercier Creme colors! So glad you recommended that lipstick awhile ago to one of my posts. It was hard choosing between LM or YSL for my lipstick, but went with YSL because it already had a gloss incorporated in the stain.

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Smiley Very Happy My pleasure! I love the formula on the LM creme colors! So rich, I can even skip lip balm before if I absolutely have to!

I've been curious about the glossy stains...I'll be popping into a Sephora today so time to check it out!

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Actually have LM on today! When I applied it this morning, made an odd "moisture crackle" sound. Made me chuckle b/c I knew it was working! Hydrating and long lasting color = Perfecto!

Let me know what you think about the glossy stains!

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Did you end up with the SP shade too or did you pick up another/more?

It's what I'm wearing right now!!

I'm excited to test the YSL stains!

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

I'm using the creme smooth in creme coral today, but I do have the rose in the creme. I think I like the creme smooth better IMO. More of a luster look with the smooths which I like.

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Ooooo, are those more sheer than the regular cremes?

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

I wouldn't say the creme smooths are more sheer, but some colors have a bit of shimmer for a more luminious look I imagine. Feels very cushiony (hence the crackle sound I was talking about) and lasts a bit longer than the regular LM creme lipsticks on my lips.

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Ooo, good to know, thanks for sharing, Spyski!

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

This is my favorite quick beauty routine for the summertime. I like to keep things simple and fresh, with plenty of SPF coverage and waterproof makeup that will stay put if I'm at the beach or by the pool. I have oily/acne prone skin:

1. Cleanse - Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel

2. Treat - The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil or LUSH Greased Lightning

3. Moisturize - Boscia Oil-Free Daily Hydration SPF 15

4. Cover - Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45

5. Bronze - Too Faced Peach Leopard Brightening and Perfecting Bronzer

6. Highlight - Benefit High Beam (on bridge of nose, cheeks, brow bone)

7. Primer - NARS Smudge proof Eyeshadow Base

8. Line - Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner

9. Mascara - Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes

10. Lips - Sugar Fresh Lip Treatment SPF 15

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Ohh nice! How do you like the Tarte mascara? I thought about giving it a whirl.

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

It's pretty good. I think I prefer the non-waterproof formula to the waterproof formula, but for the look I was going for in my previous post I figured the waterproof was more appropriate :-) They both do give you some length and volume, but it's definitely a more natural looking mascara compared to some (right now I'm using up my sample of Lancome Hypnose Drama, which is much more bold and volumizing, for example).

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

skin type: Normal

1. Dr. Perricone firming facial toner

2. ole henriksen sheer transformation

3. Miracle skin transformer BB cream

4. Diorskin nude BB cream (changes often)

5. Tarte maracuja creaseless concealer

6. too faced milk chocolate soleil bronzer

7. Smashbox halo long wear blush

8. anastiasia brow powder

9. makeup forever setting powder

10. kat von d liquid eye liner

(still missing my mascara & lip balm!)

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Skin type: combo, oily in the summer, dry in the winter.

I just wipe face with water/towel in the morning, then:

1. eye cream (winter only)

2. moisturizer SPF

3. lip balm SPF

4. primer (hydrating for winter, mattifying for summer)

5. TM/BB/Foundation/concealer as concealer on spots

6. powder (summer only)

7&8. Brown/black eyeliner on top and nude (Stila Kajal in Tropaz) on waterline for winter. Or, light/dark eyeshadow duo for summer.

9. Curl lashes

10. Perfume

That's actually the whole 9 yrs for me, except mascara/facial spray on rare special occasions. Normally it's just 1/2/3 then out the door.

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Simple is best with SPF! I totally forgot perfume. AHH haha

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

I've only incorporated perfume into my routine recently, cuz I realized I have 10+ perfumes, and I need to use them up before my interest wanes and my wallet wanders over to some new scent (florabotanica, I'm lookin' at you!).

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Skin type - Combo, acne prone

1. PTR Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel

2. Korres Pomegranate Toner

3. Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Vitamin C Collagen Booster

4. Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel

5. Sephora Collection Age Defy Eye Cream

6. Clarins Daily Energizer Lotion SPF15

7. Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF25 (Original-natural mint & shea butter)

I usually only wear makeup on the weekends or for special occasions.  When I do I definitely go over 10 steps with primers, BB cream, eye liner, eyeshadow, mascara, blush, setting powder, brow gel, lip gloss or stain & setting spray lol!

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

How is the truth serum working out for you? I haven't heard any decent reviews from someone with combo/acne prone skin which I have. I've been wanting to buy it for awhile now however I wasn't sure because it is a serum. Serums scare me I guess. haha

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

I had two .5 oz samples that I used in a row for a couple months and it lightened up some of my acne scars but not any of my sun spots that I have before I started to care about SPF. There's wasn't a noticeable enough difference for me, so I never purchased the full size.

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

I've only been using Truth Serum for about 2 weeks but it hasn't broken me out and my skin is starting to look brighter. As for fine lines & dark spots I don't know yet but I'm hoping!

Re: Can you complete your look in 10 steps or less?

Two weeks is about the point where I noticed results in brightening/more luminous skin too.

I have a few light post acne marks that it did help with, but I've also gotten Ole's Enlighten Me kit which has a mini size of their Enlighten Me serum which is more intensive than the Truth serum. It's more geared toward discoloration and fading dark spots rather than plumping, smoothing, and hydrating (like the Truth). I alternate with the Truth in the day and EM at night.
