Brands no longer sold at Sephora

I previously realized that Boscia is no longer sold at Sephora.  Today I went to repurchase an AmorePacific product and realized that this brand is now gone too.  I am really disappointed that Sephora is replacing serious skincare brands with trendy brands from YouTubers, actresses, and other celebrities.  Not that there aren’t some nice products from those brands too, I just see them as trendy, that they won’t last for the long haul, and I am skeptical of the formulations.

So frustrating. I love Amore Pacific

Re: Brands no longer sold at Sephora

@OnMyWay2 Amorepacific is the Korean based parent company that owns Laneige, Sulwhasoo and Innisfree all still sold at Sephora.  Amorepacific recently made the decision to pull Innisfree from the western market and close their stores because they weren’t making desired profit margins they used to when they were ‘trendy’ here during the great K-beauty fad six years back.  I assume this has something to do with why they pulled their namesake brand from the North American market as well.  It likely has nothing to do with Sephora and more to do with the brand itself as the brand was pulled from Holt Renfrew as well.

I am unclear as to why Boscia is no longer sold at Sephora.  They’re a Japanese owned company based out of Los Angeles.  I believe it’s still available at shoppers drug mart in Canada and I often see them at winners/tjmaxx

Re: Brands no longer sold at Sephora

On the US website I’m not able to locate a single Amorepacific product. I’ve used the single vintage extract daily for 5 years and everytime I experiment with something new I go back to Amorepacific. My loyalty to Sephora just took a big hit.

Re: Brands no longer sold at Sephora

Interesting—thank you for the background, I didn’t know that.

Boscia is now sold at Ulta in the US and I believe AmorePacific can still be found online at Bloomingdale’s, though not stocked in most stores.  I just miss being able to get everything at Sephora without shopping different sites and am I am not a fan of some of the replacement brands.
