@treestar86   Yeah it would be more appropriate to get ranked up based off hearts received for posts but people would find a way to work around that too.  Weird though cause the rank ups don’t actually mean anything.  Like what is the benefit other than acknowledgment you talk about makeup a lot?  

Ha, it’s fun to strive for BossIII but once you get there it’s like ‘now what?’

@heartsmyface Love this gif.  It's true what you said.  Plus I miss how it used to be.  So many people we knew left or are not as active as they use to be and it sucks.

@heartsmyface  haha, right...though I guess commenting or posting a lot is an indirect way to get more hearts, or mentions??  I guess I don't really know if that's what they're doing, it just kind of annoys me and seems spammy.  🙄 

and ppl ask how to get free stuff, and they say it's from being active and posting...so I feel like that inspires ppl to post a lot.  I think we need a disclaimer, "no spam please", lol.  so I just hope that's not why they're doing it, cuz that obviously won't work (I hope, lol).

@treestar86   Ha, true true.  We’re all really only guessing though.  They tell us in the letters that it’s for being active members but they likely mean it’s for being influential in some way to their target audience.  

Trying to get gratis through making useless comments seems as though it would be very frustrating.  Imagine making comments for a couple years and somehow finally getting gratis only to receive something that doesn’t suit you.  Doesn’t seem like the best long game.  Better to take all that energy and put it to work making money to buy what you want, but to each their own. 

To simplify- if you’re making it your job to get free stuff it’s no longer free cause you’re working for it.

@treestar86 This exactly why I try to add that you need SUBSTANTIVE posts to rank up. It's not necessarily true since we don't really know the algorithm but some people just seem to want to post the same comments over and over instead of actually engaging in a conversation. You are definitely not alone in your observation!

@quspork  exactly.  but that's not true, cuz it's easier to post the same 2 or 3 words over and over, and that's why they get ahead, lol.  it just doesn't really seem to add much to the conversation, but then who am I to judge, I guess.  everyone makes those same comments, but then I think we also try to make more substantive or helpful posts also.  idk.  I guess like life, it's all about balance...or is that too deep for the BIC?? lol

btw thanks for your comment, I'm glad I'm not just being a nitpicky b**** again, lol. 😂

I have a fun story! I ordered some makeup during a brand's sale a week ago. The package was traveling between Ohio and California. I just checked the tracking today, and... my package is now in Honolulu.

@ibblej  Wow, talk about overshooting the point of delivery! 🤣 Imagine what Honolulu center workers must've thought when they saw where your package is supposed to end up. I hope it arrives soon, safe and sound!

Not only did I receive someone else’s order (with the correct packing slip for the palette I ordered) but they were only going to give them one sample!  That’s not nice!  This is the first time I’ve been shorted samples and it’s not even my order.  I’ve had replacement samples though.   Sigh, someone out there is receiving my palette when all they want is a pamper session.

On my last half dozen orders I have either received the wrong sample or been shorted a sample.
