@KatieJiang It's a silly rule. I was told if I make the return they have to process the return which takes 24 hours and then they would put it back on the floor to be resold.

I just dyed my hair the usual colour I get (medium brown) for roots touch up.. and I don't know what happened..It is way lighter than the rest of my hair..I am freaking out coz I have an event and birthday to go to tomorrow first thing in the morning! I have been dying my hair for years and this never happened.
It looks so bad while my hair is WET..I don't even want to see what it will look like DRY. wth.
It is a little funny sure..but not when I actually have to be somewhere. This is So a beauty peeve today. ANY Suggestions are appreciated, should I dye my hair darker again or wait a bit? I am afraid back to back may cause breakage.m/damage.
And my husband will be home soon, he is so gona laugh. 🙈
Your 'roots' will take the 'true color' of the dye since it is virgin hair. You probably went a while between colorings.
This always happens to me and I just 'tone' my hair I don't even use color.
In a week or two....it will all even out!
I am no expert.....but I suspect you use a natural or golden shade and why it turned brassy.
Once it is dry it will even out more with the rest of your hair.
Thanks @wheeeee for all your suggestions..I used medium brown which usually takes darker on my virgin hair.
Now that it has dried, it still is very light..I guess it is just hair and can be easily changed 😁 just wish it wasn't today.
update: Dam. He came home. and fell on the floor laughing. fml. I am calling it a reverse ombre. Everyone in hollywood is doing it.

😢 Medium/dark brown. I would be cool if it was on all of my hair.. but this is JUST on the roots. sigh..thanks though I hope it looks better dry. @Beadshopgirl

I went to Sephora to return an item I had bought with a gift card..
No issues with the return, I had the receipt, returned it well before 30 days.. everything is fine until the SA informs me that the refund will be store credit only.
Heck to the nope.
I had to argue with her that the refund is the be issues in the same method as it was purchased. She said “I’m a cash supervisor, so I know that we can only refund on store credit” and tried to argue that a store credit was ‘basically the same’.. no, it’s not. I cannot use store credit online.
Forced the issue to the point that the manager had to get involved. Then I got the “well, we’ll do this FOR YOU…” as if I’m being done a favor of some sort.
Moral of the story – I will never buy a gift card from Sephora, and certainly will ask friends/family not to either.
I HATE this. It happens to me at Sephora 80% of the time I am trying to return something purchased w/ a gift card..ONLINE! ugh

@Insomniacmuffin this literally happened to me last week. I almost exclusively shop online at sephora and am so annoyed with having to go out of my way to go to the nearest store! I don't understand why they do that policy because it is absolutely possible for a store to put a refund onto gift card if thats how the purchase was made, many other stores do this with no problem!! My Sephora always has crap point perks and never gives out any samples at the register which is why i prefer to shop online. Boo
My store does that too, so I basically only buy things I know I definitely want with gift cards online. It is a total pain.
I had this happen a couple years ago and posted on the Customer Service section of BT. The mod PM'd me and got details (store location, day I went) and then dealt with the store. The store manager quickly notified me and arranged for me to get a Sephora gift card (good online) and cancelled the store card. Also sent me a bunch of samples through snail mail. I was happy with how it all turned out but learned that I have to be diligent ever since in ensuring I don't get the store-version of gift card as refund. I'm not sure why some stores are so insistent on giving the store version.
@DiVWA thank you for this info! I might leave a comment in the customer service thread because i'm curious as to whether this is something that is a legit policy, is done on a store-to-store basis or is something that they aren't supposed to be doing without giving the customer a choice
annoying! i recently did a return purchased by gift card and i got a refund on my CC! i'm sure they were just being difficult. good for you for standing your ground and getting what you requested in the end.
Ugh shady.. I have a feeling that store wanted to keep your business with them (in stores) so they made up a random rule
I reallllllly hate the word "iconic" when it's used to describe absolutely everything. Just got an email from Sephora that mentioned the "...iconic pistachio caramel scent of Bum Bum Cream..."
oh my gosh, i get annoyed with that too! and i hate how people on social media keep using the word 'address' now..like someone should 'address' something, or ' i thought i should address it'.
so many annoying uses for words and phrases, particularly in the business sector. i keep a running list with my brother and laugh over it..i work at a library so I don't tend to hear these but he works in IT so he hears these all the time during meetings and conference calls..
