The other thread was getting too long and difficult to load!
So what are your beauty pet peeves? What grinds your gears? Share your stories!!!
@heartsmyface oh cool!!! Thx! I know Vancouver covers a lot of ground right? so was curious how close you were to the city since you get all these nice animals and pretty view! One day. One day... 😄
Well, there's always Stanley Park if you want water and fuzzy critters without leaving the actual city. 😄
I sometimes miss being downtown and being able to walk two minutes to a corner store. There are so many perks to being in the centre of it all. Here it's only really fun in the summer.
@heartsmyface cool! I'd wanna be away from the city and close to water/forest/hiking trails etc... Peace and quiet... No cars noise. Just as long as I can get to a Sephora and MAC within an hour 😄 😄 😄 jk
Lol, I'm living the life apparently! Sephora and MAC are a fifteen minute car ride away!
We do suffer from train noise. The trains start slowing down near our place so there's a lot of screeching sound. It's become white noise by now though.
Nice! Yes it looks like you are living the life! 🙂 If not in this life time hopefully in my next one 😄
@heartsmyface Oh my god, that sucks. I didn't go anywhere near the water past few days with the cold weather. The snow is falling like big cotton balls :'(
@dioradictRight? This is more snow than we've had in YEARS!!! There's a good three inches out here!!!
Our power just went out so D is starting up the generators again. Why does the power never go out when it's warm?
I may need to buy a new cheesy Christmas sweater. We pulled so many bins in the boat room and garage but no luck.
I can already feel my hands cracking when I look at this picture 😄 The view is gorgeous though!
Ahhhh, that's cause you can't see the big green monstrosity they built across the water this summer. It looks like 4 monopoly houses when not fogged out and covered in snow.
And I'm feeling you. There's hand cream dispersed everywhere for instant relief if I need it. If you're up for a splurge try the aerin hand and body cream. It works longer than pretty much every other hand cream I've tried.
Oh and if you can deal with the squishiness, put on an extremely thick layer of hand cream at night and cover your hands in latex gloves and seal them on with hair elastics. Happy hands!
@heartsmyface ooo thanks for the hand cream and body cream recommendation! I've been looking for a good hand cream 🙂
no probs! I discovered it through a sample and had to go buy it right away.
WHY IS MY SKIN SO DRY IN THE WINTER HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG.
I tried changing up my nighttime moisturizer but I'm still waking up with itchy flaking skin!! I applied the josie maran milk moisturizer first, then followed the the josie maran argan oil on top (that's the order they say to do it in) and I still wake up like this?! WHY!!! It's also only on my forehead (not right in the middle though), my temples, and my outer cheeks. This is so irritating.
I feel you. This winter is the worst, my hands cracked yesterday and bled a little bit from washing dishes, I guess it was the last straw. So the dishwasher will be used until they decide to repair themselves. My makeup sits horribly on my skin even with the extra layer of oil I'm adding to my routine. Sigh.
I don't know why my winter routine doesn't work this winter 😞 I layered 3 moisturizers and a face oil this morning and I still get dry patches :S
Ugh, between the heaters blasting and the dry air my skin is suffering too. Just a few more months of slopping on the goodness.
@@sabrinas the same thing happened to me the other day. I noticed itching and flaking on the outer chin. I believe that I may have used too much JM Milk. Try maybe using a little less and the problem may correct itself. It did work for me.
I know what you mean @sabrinas. My routine hasn't been cutting it lately and I already have it optimized for hydration since my skin tends more towards the dry side all year round (unless I'm in Puerto Rico where it is amazing, of course!). I think I'm going to be better about doing hydrating masks more often and may need a thicker cream, especially at night. (I already use serums and oils for hydration plus a really gentle cleanser).
The 1000 point rewards that come in quantities of like 20.... c'mon Sephora. We all want in on that if we have the points + most of us work, we don't have time to be refreshing the page 400 times throughout the day.
Peeve of the day... doing a dark smoky eye, but one of my eyes wants to tear up on the outer corner all day. Grrr! So I have a little bald skin patch on the corner of my eye.
Sephora order came today. My box had 8 sheets of filler paper folded at the top of the box, not distributed/padded and the products look like they went through the ringer. My bite 100 point perk has a huge crack around it, and the SR blue moon box looks like it went through the ringer. It's ripped in all the corners and down the sides. SR is a gift so I will being going to the store to find one in appropriate gifting condition.
I did call and my points were refunded which was nice. It's possible that all these happened prior to shipping, and the bite was just a factory defect and the SR just happened to be the crappy box from the lot? But, on a plus side, the samples I ordered actually came!!
The expression in "through the wringer" not "ringer". Sorry, usually I am NOT the grammar police but I just found out yesterday that I have been pronouncing "compilation" incorrectly my whole life and no one has corrected me! I wish someone would have said something, so there you go.
On to your complaint, that really stinks. I've noticed that my Sephora packages have recently just had the paper thrown on top when previously things were somewhat wrapped. I am sorry that happened but at least you got your points back 😞
