@sprocketta I've seen actual swatches of the palette and the colors really do look pretty.  If you have the Retro, however, I have a feeling that this may seem rather repetitive.

The 3 new Legendary Red lips that @makeitup305  posted the other month on brand thread are now on the site in satin and matte. If shades are OOS I was told they will return.

@SportyGirly125 Honestly, I'm not really digging brands doing the "repackaged in a new bottle/jar" for the Lunar New Year. Just seems kind of lazy to me, but hey I might just be a bit (lol) picky. However, I love that cheek palette. I feel like that product was 100% done right and it truly makes me want to own it since it's so unique, one of a kind and cannot be repurchased outside of this release (at least not that I'm aware of, correct me if I'm wrong). 

Ps. I have to try that new Guerlain fragrance release, I hope its available to sample at my local Sephora.

@QueenMarceline As someone who celebrates Chinese New Year, I actually don't mind the repackaging.  It's a collector's piece since every year the Lunar calendar is a different animal.  As long as they do not disrespect the culture I am fine with it.

@QueenMarceline I agree with @SportyGirly125. I'm not one who typically purchases the repackaged items (most times, companies just change the bottle colour to red, for example), but I think in recent years, a lot of companies have raised the bar. There's the Clinique Lunar New Year edition of their moisturizing lotion that just released and honestly, I'm fawning over it. The tiger cap is so creative and different than adding designs that I would've expected.

@Guessgal I can see that perspective as well. I guess it's nice if a well-loved product that someone specifically already uses is repackaged into a really nice and well thought out packaging. I suppose it's all about perspective and opinion, some people would rather have a product they know and love in a special LE packaging. I've done this myself without even realizing now that I think back to it with some LE packaging for Laura Mercier powders, BUXOM glosses, etc. It's nice to know what kind of product and quality you are getting while having something different/special as the packaging. On the other hand, there's other people who would rather see full LE releases for holidays based on new products to get something new. The gamble with that is, you really don't know what to expect from that new LE released product and formulation. I think I can appreciate when a brand has a little bit of both to cater to each individual consumers unique needs/wants 🙂
