Hello, hello! Welcome to Year 6 of the No/Low Buy Thread.

         post often I do read the notifications sent to my email and I cannot say it enough,

         You all are truly amazing!  Thank you for your dedication and support!!

For reference here's the purpose of this thread (from Thread Originator, @lnum😞

This thread is a support system for all of us who are trying to maintain a budget and keep our beauty spending limited. Post here when you have a weak moment, post here to hold yourself accountable, post here when you just need someone to talk to, post here when you have advice for all of us, and post here when you make mistakes but also make gains! Many of us post here to keep track of our monthly purchases. Anything you need to say, we are all here for each other. There's no judgement here.

Feel free to share your goals, items that tempt you, missteps (we don't believe in failures), and any successes.  Above all else, encourage and support one another.

Welcome to Year 3!

My motto for this thread is that I strongly believe, even on a budget, you can have the things you want that make you happy without feeling like you're limiting yourself.

I am so excited to spend another year with you all. If it wasn't for the first two years of this thread, I would never have been able to cut down my beauty spending. My goal for this year is to maintain low spending on beauty, and cut down my clothing purchases. I will be funneling that money into traveling, which is what I have done in the past and it's a great goal that truly motivates me. 

I'm still so proud of everyone for making it through 2015 and 2016, limiting ourselves in the beauty product area in order to improve our lives in other areas. We all did great and here's to another year of learning and saving!

It’s more fruity than rose, at least from what I can tell, @sprocketta. The tint and feel of it are definitely 🥀 though!

I came home from a walk in the park today and there was a Sephora box on my doorstep. For a moment I was shocked and horrified, verbally explaining to myself “BUT I DIDN’T ORDER ANYTHING....I didn’t! I didn’t?” 

I picked up the box to read the address label and it turned out to be for the resident on the 1st floor. 

Oh my gosh I wish you all could have seen me outside my apartment building talking to myself like a crazy person debating whether I had ordered or not. 😂😂😂😂

@lnum  Omg. What are the chances! That’s so funny. I would have loved to be watching you in that moment I’m sure it would have been hilarious!!! You are better then me tho I probably would have taken it inside and opened it before I realized it wasn’t mine 😳

@ather Dont worry, I did that with an Amazon order about 2-3 weeks ago and profusely apologized for invading someone’s privacy. 😅

@ather Luckily we’re in a small apartment building with only three units, the other two are occupied by the owner and his daughters family, we have known them for 15 years since we moved in so they can be forgiving considering they know just how many packages I receive everyday. 😅

One week checkin. No beauty or clothing purchases. The rod on my ceramic toilet paper holder built into the bathroom tile wall (pretty sure it’s original to my apartment) broke after 15 years of use. I ordered a new rod for $3. 😂

@lnum  Oh no. I think after 15 years it’s allowed to be replaced. I’m glad you found a 3$ replacement part that’s so awesome!!  So far no beauty or clothing purchases for me. It has been a rainy weekend where I live so I didn’t leave my house. I’m surprised I didn’t try to shop online but I’ve been busy doing other things!!
