With the countdown to Christmas/holiday season and the New Year I thought it would be interesting to take a moment and plan some resolutions around our love for everything Beauty. In my experience its important to be realistic about your plans and also be willing to adapt as the year goes on.
Do you want to try the Project Pan challenge? Promise to use SPF everyday? Be diligent about double cleansing at night? Be more experimental with colours and techniques? Hate resolutions and live everyday in the moment!?!
List your resolutions, either each from skincare, haircare and makeup or multiple for any category. Listed below are some examples of resolutions, with mine in bold. Feel free to list your own!!
Beauty Resolutions for 2018
Happy Holidays!
@fieldsofclover I am trying to make 2018 the year I move past eyeliner 😀
@fieldsofclover @naturalooks15 y'all are moving past just eyeliner and i'm over here trying to figure out how to apply it 😛
@sparklekai No rush, I think that skill takes an actual lifetime 😂
@naturalooks15 If you're able to do one of the Sephora makeovers or smoky eye classes, I would definitely recommend it! There are lots of great YouTube channels too, but I just found it helpful to talk to a real person about it while actually experimenting with a palette I knew I was going to use again.
@fieldsofclover Thanks. I have done couple of makeovers. Loved one of them (the other one was badly done). I guess I just need to invest time and practice maybe on weekends (since can’t risk going to office with eyeshadow with my skills LOL). I am pretty ok with blush etc.
i also have a Smokey eyes class reserved for Jan. Hopefully that will help.
Another challenge I am facing currently is, my base is not working. I have been trying foundations and not liking anything. 😞
My skincare is pretty set, use AHA/BHA, good moisturizers, Vit C. Have combo skin but foundation becomes patchy and separates.
Maybe I need to play more with primers to make the complexion base work for me.
@shyvicki Exciting! Glad you went for it... looks great ❤️
@Aaliaa I want to take advantage of the makeup services at Sephora! 🙂
We really should make the most of them since they are free if you are Rouge. I personally love the skincare services they offer @greeneyedgirl107.
@Aaliaa I will have to check out the skincare services! Thanks for reminding me about it 🙂
I did this last year as well, but I resolve to not leave the house without sunscreen on my face if the sun is up.
My beauty resolution this year is to:
- downsize and give away/sell items I do not use/have not used
- wear lipstick on the regular. I own too much lipstick to not be wearing any
- stop buying backups. Realistically I do not ever finish a product
- think do I really need this? before purchasing
