skin care regimen

I am trying to find the perfect skin care regimen. I am in my late 20's and have combination skin. I also have visible pores, acne scaring, dryness around my eyes, dark circles and starting to get fine lines. Any recommendations?

Re: skin care regimen

I'm almost in my mid-20 and already have all of the above you have mentioned. I'm also combo skin. For starters I would opt for a set like Clinique's 3-step skincare system.

(combo-oily version)

*It's important to wash, tone, and moisturize the face.

It even helps with breakouts (which I really like!)

Visible pores can be reduced with a balm that minimizes the pores such as Benefit's POREfessional

*I notice you're a VIB, it's a 100 point perk right now!

Dryness around the eyes be hydrated with a light weight eye cream such as Clinique's All About Eyes. It's also used to diminish the appearance of fine lines and shadows.

As for dark circles. Here is another thread I actually posted awhile back that got some very helpful advice on how to cover and diminish them depending on what the cause is:

Hope this helps! Smiley Happy

I agree with spyski, ive used cliniques 3 step for about 10 years, and they even have their own pore solution, Cliniques Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum, Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector for the lines, All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage is moisturizing, tightening, brightening an depuffing for your eyes

Hi Pinknprtty84,

Finding that perfect combo of products can take ages! I just recently tightened my skin routine up. General staples for any skincare arsenal include: a cleanser, a day cream, an SPF product, a toner, a night cream, and an eye cream.

Seems like a lot, but keep in mind that you will not be using all of these more than once a day. For your morning routine I would recommend just sticking to applying an eye cream, SPF, and day cream. A lot of day creams often contain SPF, which can cut out purchasing additional products.

AM Routine

Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser: This cleanser will purge your skin of impurities while minimizing the appearance of visible pores.

It's Potent! Eye Cream-This eye cream from benefit is packed with a beautiful blend of mango and apple extracts. It is designed to keep the eyes hydrated while reducing visible dark circles.

Fresh Soy Moisturizing Face Cream SPF 20: This is a great daily moisturizer. Its lightweight soft texture leaves the skin smooth and protected from harmful UV rays.

PM Routine

Use the same cleanser followed by these products.

NARS Skin Multi-Action Hydrating Toner-This toner is magic in a bottle. It is specifically designed to revamp one's skin texture gently. Apply a squirt or two onto a cotton round and run the formula across your face.

Apply your eye cream Smiley Happy.

High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream-Apply this product as your last step for the evening. It has a rich blend of resurfacing minerals that will repair and naturally illuminate your skin for a refreshed canvas when you wake up.

Whimsically yours,

Re: skin care regimen

Try Murad or Renee Rouleau's skin care lines.  Renee has a quiz on her website that will explain your skin and what it needs plus recommends products ideal for it.  I use Renee's line and Korres' Quercetin eye cream.  Combo skin, too, so I get the pores as an issue.

Have you tried Tarte's 12-Hour Foundation?  I could go on and on about how incredible it is!
