If it helps, I am 60 and the Kosas concealer did nothing for me. Not the right colors or consistency for over 50. It was too yellow or too orange and did nothing for my dark circles.

I’m 50, @JessiP117 , and used to have these and it turned out it was allergies. I do get a lot of allergies but my under-eyes started looking a lot better when I continued using my Zyrtec even when I wasn’t having other allergy symptoms.

Hi @LeaLL ! I’m curious: what’s making you switch from First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair® Oat & Hemp Seed Dry Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL ? Is there something about it your skin no longer likes? The only oil I use on my 50something mostly-dry combo facial skin these days is The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL, and only during winter (I live in Chicago; this winter’s been kinda mild compared to our usual subzero Januarys, though the month’s not over yet 😅). But on my hands and nails, I often use Byoma Hydrating Recovery Oil; it’s a nice blend of beneficial oils, squalane, licorice root extract, and a ceramide. It does also contain blue tansy oil; calling that out in case your skin’s sensitive to it. Also consider Good Light Alphabet Oil, a fairly new oil blend that contains turmeric, ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, neem extract, eggplant extract, and retinyl palmitate. That last ingredient may or may not be a dealbreaker, depending on the rest of your skincare routine. I use retinaldehyde nightly, so I don’t need an additional form of vitamin A on my face—which is why I don’t use Alphabet Oil on my face. Your mileage may vary.

The SK-II essence does nothing don’t bother. In the morning splash your face, apply a vitamin c serum (I use the Glytone one, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is a good, stable vitamin c formulation), then apply a sunscreen (I really like the tatcha one) in the evening use a gentle cleanser (I really like to Round Lab Dokdo one it’s super gentle), then I use the Round Lab toner to adjust pH only because I’m super dry… I alternate days using a retinoid (start low and slow and get your skin acclimated as it can be very irritating: retinyl esters are the weakest, then retinol, then retinal, then differin and the strongest is Trentinoin which is prescription) 1% retinol is probably a good starting point for most. You can also apply a moisturizer before sparingly applying the retinol as a buffer to prevent inflammation. Also avoid the eye area!! Use an eye cream before doing the steps on your face. ☺️

I’m going to be 56 this month. I have dry skin and fine lines and wrinkles. I just started taking my skincare routine very seriously six years ago. One brand I absolutely love is Supergoop! I use the Glowscreen with spf40 for that no makeup look but beautiful finish and their latest Protec(tint) light to medium coverage. For concealer under the eyes where I have darkness as well as my dark spots I use Haus labs in the light peach shade works great. There are many other products ask the sales team for recommendations. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. I hope that helps.
