Weight loss at 60=WRINKLES!

At age 60, I lost 75 pounds. I now wear a size eight (love that), but my body, particularly my face, is all wrinkles. Now I look like I'm 80! I know there's not much I can do about the body...but the face?

Thanks for the help

@ kristhewitch - We understand that with weight loss sagging and wrinkles may occur particularly around the jawline and cheek area. For your skincare concerns we recommend Perricone MD. He specifically has two products that will significantly help to lift and firm your skin.  We suggest the Cold Plasma Sub-D (http://bit.ly/gvZI88) which helps to sculpt and tighten the appearance of skin along the chin and jaw-line and for your moisturizer we recommend his Advanced Face Firming Activator (http://bit.ly/i78U39) which also helps to erase the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores while refining skin texture.

For makeup the other recommendations given are some of our top sellers that also help with anti-aging. We hope this helps and Congratulations on your weight loss!

Congrats on the weight loss!  You MUST read Forever Young by Dr. Perricone.  He talks about when people lose weight they also lose muscle mass which results in sagging and wrinkles in the face.  He has some great advice on beating this internally.

There are two great foundations for more mature skin that I'd like to recommend you take a look at.  I'll list them below:

1) Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Foundation (

2) Clinique Dewy Smooth Anti-Aging Makeup (

Both of the above foundations are excellent and both provide anti-aging benefits and sun protection.

A good serum to wear underneath your makeup is Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle which is a great anti-aging product that you can find at:

I hope this helps you. 🙂

Absolutely include a makeup primer underneath your foundation. If you don't , the makeup will just fall into your wrinkles and make them even worse. Amazing Cosmetics has a great anti-aging makeup primer and I love Lancome's La Base Pro. For mature skin, using a dewy foundation is better than a matte finish ( unless your skin is oily), this will make it look a bit younger and fresh. Absolutely keep your skin adequately moisturized, and wear sunscreen. Get some kind of brightening serum that will plump up your skin an make it brighter. I like Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum Collagen Booster. When the elasticity of your facial skin is pulled, it's hard to make it snap back into place without surgery. However, a good moisturizer will make it look plumper and moist. Hope this helps you a little at least! Good luck hun.

I'm hoping a congratulations is in order and the weight loss was not from illness.  Either way you are a fighter!

The best I can think is that you'll need to hydrate - lots of water, moisture will help plump up the wrinkles.  Moisturizers or maybe a light liquid firming foundation.  I've fallen in love with all things NARS and would recommend the NARS Firming Foundation and maybe the aqua gel hydrator (I'm loving this right now .. so expensive but will plump up your face practically instantly).

Best!
