Lines between eyebrows

I want to start using something for the expression lines that form between my eyebrows like when I fringe with a confused look or when I fringe because of the sun while driving. I am completely clueless as to what product to use!

Suggestions anyone?

Re: Lines between eyebrows

UPDATE 10-19-2022:

I decided to see my Dermatologist during the pandemic. She prescribed Tretinoin for my mild acne, Hydroquinone for my dark spots and melasma, and suggested an OTC AHA once a week, and a BHA for my t-zone. Since May 2020 I started using Tretinoin 0.025%. I've been using Tretinoin 0.05% since December 2020 and my skin looks amazing! I'm 53 now and love my skin. I use Vanicream Lotion for my face and body and Johnson's Baby Wash to cleanse my face when I'm not wearing makeup. When I'm wearing makeup I use Coconut Oil or Albolene Cleansing Balm.

Having never been a fan of skincare...this ^^ is where it's at! Grateful for Dermatologists!

I just turned 50, three weeks ago and I've never had anything injected into my skin (except for PRP in my neck and low back for pain). I've also never used any of those other suggested things to do like: AHA, BHA, peels, etc. They've always terrified me.

My suggestion would be sunglasses, face yoga (yes, that exists), ramp up your vitamin intake. I've been taking a slew of individual vitamins for about 35 years of my life (multi-vitamins aren't enough). At 35 years old I started taking 2g (2000mg) of Solaray C Two-Stage Timed Release Supplement, 1000mg.

Last year I added Collagen Type 1 & 3 to my diet, and I'm just now starting to take Omega-3s. I also added a Collagen face mask twice a week, last Summer.

I eat a lot of fish, blueberries, and drink green tea several times a month. I eat as clean and healthy as possible (don't get me wrong, I enjoy my wine, drinks, and other foods monthly). I also wash my face with Costco's Coconut Oil or Johnson & Johnson's Baby Wash. I don't even drink the amount of water I should, which I've been working on for decades.

No one knows my age. Beauty starts and ends from within.

That said, when I get the courage, I will be trying my first ever PRP Facial. I'm also curious about Profound RF Micro-needling.

I hope this helps.

RE: Lines between eyebrows

Botox will work the best for those 11s Longer term to fine lines in general, I would look into getting on retin A

@karinangel7 I agree with @jhe9488 . Botox is a good preventative to reduce further wrinkles and same goes for tretinoin in the long term

I also agree, Botox is probably your best bet

Re: Lines between eyebrows

I find my lines are mostly made up of dead skin, and removing it makes the furrow less prominent. Once a month I use the Stacked Skincare dermaplaning tool on my forehead and between my brows, or get a dermabrasion facial, and the other three weeks I use the Peter Thomas Roth 10% glycolic acid on it (though your acid of choice probably works). My husband does the same.

RE: Re: Lines between eyebrows

I think those are great methods. @kellyklorane! Another idea to add the routine is a good ole professional microdermabrasion once a month. They aren’t badly priced esp if you find groupons. And you are supporting a locally owned business 🙂 I honestly I’m considering going to a dermatologist to do dermabrasion and see if that can really blast it away. Those horizontal lines are the worst. I don’t know how to make it a “ necessary procedure “ for insurance. I really think that mental health and self esteem should be more widely covered.

@karinangel7 I rec a retinol product as well. FAB Retinol Serum is good for beginners with its .25% concentration.  I personally use Retin-A which is an Rx.  Good luck!

I bought the PTR PM Retinol kit and freaking love it. I saw a noticeable difference within 2 weeks. The lines between my eyebrows and on my forehead were getting harsh. I am super happy with the retinol oil. I have dry sensitive skin and this stuff is great!

Re: Lines between eyebrows

Completely agree that Botox is the best for the 11's.  Not only does it relax the lines already there, but it helps keep you from scrunching up to create deeper furrows.  I was afraid my first time of the dreaded emotionless face but I go to a plastic surgeon who does it herself and she puts very little so that I still have movement in my face.  I love it.  But if this is not for you and you want to rely on other non-invasive methods, I definitely concur with exfoliation as a method to decrease the appearance.  Microdermabrasion (either at salon or use of PMD) is a good method, as is microblading (aesthetician) or retinol.  Retinol is an aging woman's best friend and should be used as often as your skin will allow.  I have a prescription strength that I can only use 1x every 2-3 nights around my nose/chin but nightly on my eyes, forehead and cheeks.  I have tried the cane/austin retinol pads and like them.  I just ordered the PTR and will post a review later.  I have also tried the lines no more- not a fan and the un-wrinkle- also did not achieve amazing results- therefore the botox....  I can get a good 6 months between injections now with the added retinol and PMD.

Re: Lines between eyebrows

Botox for sure! I haven’t had the dreaded ‘11’s’ lines in years thanks to Botox. Best ant-aging procedure you can get for the money. No topical cream will work as well.

Botox and Dysport are the only long term solutions for repetitive facial expressions that cause lines. Since these are expression lines, no topical product will ever get rid of these because you continue to use those muscles every single day.

Re: Lines between eyebrows

Not so much a "product," but I got a microdermabrasion facial and it really helped with those lines! There was a lot of dead skin making them more pronounced. I go maybe twice a year.

Re: Lines between eyebrows

Try using a retinal! It is truly as wrinkle reducer and makes your skin all around better. The first month or two is harsh because it is purging, but it does get better and you won't regret it
