Experience with Kate Somerville's Exfolicate

Hello!  What is your experience with ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment by Kate Somerville?  I have dry and sensitive skin.  I'm usually wary of physical exfoliants ever since I started Retin-A.  However, I want to get rid of patchy areas that pop up with a product that won't harm the skin.  Thanks!

I like Sunday Riley Lactic Acid treatment.  I have dry and sensitive skin that has a tendency to be red.  This doesn't irritate my skin, I get great results, and it actually calms down the redness.  Highly recommend.

I have also tried the Exfolikate and I use it for the shorter amount of time that is recommended for those with sensitive skin.  It really does give fantastic results, but not worth the money if you can get great results with other chemical exfoliation products.

Thank you!

Oh, it is strong!! I don't even have sensitive skin and have found it too much for my skin. If you already have it and are asking before using it, it is possible to put the mask on without scrubbing and it will work as a chemical exfoliant. But if you're considering buying it, don't! A much better option is the very gentle AmorePacific Enzyme Peel (? not exact name, can't tag) which is extremely gentle, works with very gentle exfoliants, and leaves skin super soft without sandblasting it at all. It's not inexpensive, but a small size lasts forever.

@tg1973 Thank you for the feedback.  I was actually looking at this product.  I do not have sensitive skin and would hate to have my skin irritated.

Thank you for the info!  Okay, I'll probably try out your suggestion!

I totally agree!  My skin isn't sensitive so I've used several strong products in the past (trying to use more gentle products now tho).  This exfoliator was one of the more irritating products for me.  When I used it, my skin started to tingle and hurt a bit.  I wasn't sure if it was my skin or because the product was strong.  Glad to know I'm not alone!

Thanks again for your comment :)!   Yeah, skin irritation is never a good sign!
