Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundationand Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation have lasted me through hot lights @dancergirl567 . I have combo/oily skin as a reference. They have reformulated the latter, so I don't know if it still holds the same, you might be able to get the older version on another site like Amazon or a reseller site.

The Ordinary Mini Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 3.38 oz / 100 ml (the mini so you can see if you like it first before getting the full). Only exfoliate 1-2 times a week (preferably at night) so you don’t damage your skin barrier and apply SPF that morning! AHA’s increase sun sensitivity.

@BrookieDaCat Other than finding what products work best for your skin type (which is trial and error in itself since what works for others may or may not work for you), i’d say the most important tip is to stay consistent with your routine. My main downfall is that i get lazy and will stop doing my skincare which is when my breakouts start and worsen.Another thing is to lightly exfoliate (your skin type determines how often a week you should exfoliate so that you don’t ruin your skin barrier) with some type of cloth or exfoliating pad instead of just using your hands. Also, don’t overdo it with amount of products you use at once, if you feel like you need to layer 10 different products to see results then those aren’t the right products for you.

@abbyschmoyer I’ve heard good things about REN Clean Skincare Evercalm™ Barrier Support Body Balm Targeted Treatment for Senstive Skin 3 oz / 90 ml . It’s a balm instead of a cream but it seems to do really well for people with eczema so I figured it’d be worth mentioning since your condition is similar to that. *apparently the barrier support balm isn’t available at Sephora, you can get it on Walmart’s website or Ren’s website but its cheaper at Walmart*But in case you want something more familiar and cheaper; besides Cerave and cetaphil, i tend to like Aquaphor’s Healing Ointment as well.

@laurlay06 You might try finding a good vitamin C serum as well as a niacinamide serum to help out with the acne spots. Both are known to help reduce hyperpigmentation.

@Albanin Alpha arbutin does not treat acne. If you’re trying to reduce (clear up) or control acne, then no, The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Hyperpigmentation Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL won’t do that. Alpha arbutin can reduce dark marks left behind by acne, though. That’s because this ingredient treats hyperpigmentation. So if you just need something to help fade dark acne scars, The Ordinary’s alpha arbutin serum may be helpful.
