Scars

I’ve healed my acne but am left with scaring. discolouration. I am 15. Any suggestions on how to lighten them?

Re: Scars

@mndmndl  Azelaic acid is good for PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, such as dark marks left by acne), plus it a good acne fighter. In the US, you can get a prescription for 15% azelaic acid from your doctor. Or you can buy lower strength products over the counter. My favorite OTC product is Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster 1 oz/ 30 mL , but also consider The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension Brightening Cream 1 oz/ 30 mL or FaceTheory Lumizela A10 Serum (10% azelaic acid, available at the brand’s site). I think Skinfix also makes an azelaic acid spot treatment now.

You can also try a product that contains several ingredients that target hyperpigmentation. Two good ones are Topicals Faded Serum for Dark Spots & Discoloration 1.7 oz/ 50 mL and Hyper Skin Mini Brightening Dark Spot Vitamin C Serum 0.5 oz/ 15 mL .

Re: Scars

Depending on your current routine, @mndmndl, including a vitamin C serum could be helpful.
