Post in Acne-Prone Skin

My Face Is Like Zit-Central.

Recently, My face has been attacked by probably the worst breakout I've ever had.

It's still not as bad compared to some, but for me, its bad.

I'm using a medicated Acne cream, and it seems to work, but before it works you break out horribly.

Do any of you know natural ways to clear your face up? I need to have it cleared pronto.

I feel HIDEOUS when my face is covered in pimples. It's SO gross.

I have chronic acne and I adore Dr. Dennis Gross and the MDSkincare line, particularly the Trifix Acne Clearing lotion. If you are looking for a more natural approach, try the new Bliss No Sit Sherlock set. I have a friend who swears by it.

In the mean time, take a look at any environmental causes of your breakout. Since this isn't the norm for you you may have added, changed or deleted something that was keeping you clear. Reversing the change would be the most natural way of fixing it.

Drink gallons of water, stay away from foods with iodine, reduce the stress in your life (oh, sure!). Have you changed your BC pills? Diet? Job/job environment? Is the man in your life a dog? Stop all soft drinks!
I LOVE Bare Minerals Blemish Therapy for overnight zit zapping. I also like Philosophy's acne treatment kit for mild acne, or just try their Oxygen Peel and Hope in a Bottle for starters. Dermatologica's Adult Acne kit---which comes in a trial kit that lasts a month if you use it correctly. Now that's a major defense system! Good luck.

1) Diet: Make sure to include plenty of greens, yellows and Reds ( Vegetables and fruits )

2) Drink minimum 8 glasses of water. It flushs out toxins from your body which otherwise can come out through pores AKA zits.

3) Fish oil is very good for skin. Drink that 2x a day if you don't eat fish.

4) Refrain from smoking or drinking excessively. And drink plenty of water to flush out toxins if you do either or both of them.

5) Exercise atleast 30 mins a day daily for 5 days. It helps in regulating hormones which are directly/indirectly related to causing acne.Besides that, there are numeous health benefits due to exercises.

6) Fuller's earth is an excellent clay mask that will get rid of impurites from skin and keep it clean.

7) Sandelwood paste as a mask is a wonderful as such or can be used as spot treatment for blemishes.

8) Try applying tea tree oil on your pimples. I have heard people swear by it.

9) Remember  this order: Cleanse, tone, serum, moisterizer, eye cream, spot acne treatment.

10) Make sure you're hair is free of dandruff. There is a connection with dirty hair scalp = acne on face. So keep hair clean.

11) Clinique's acne treatment worked for me. Check that out.

12) Get on to Accutane. It's a prescription drug. Has side effects but I beleive it works.

13) NEVER pick on your pimples.

14) SMILE. No one will care about you're zits and you'll feel less conscious.

Hope this helped!! (:
