Fungal acne or closed comedones

My skin was always clear. Until I started getting these bumps on my forehead. When I squeez them with my nails a white things come out of it. Im not sure if it’s fungal acne or closed comedones. I was using the Paula’s choice exfoliate but it didn’t do anything to help. Im currently using the inkey list cleanser with salicylic acid and cosrx snail mucin serum and moisturizer in it but I see no difference. What can I do ? My skin type is normal.

Acne is super annoying and even painful at times. It’s my nemesis after having to deal with varying degrees of for over a decade. The good new is most of these look like white heads and there are much better options than there were 15 years ago. 

Trying a BHA like Paula choice toner is as great  idea! It didnt work for me either. Try a BHA/ salicylic cleanser or benzoyl peroxide one. CeraVe has some of my favorites in this category. Skinfix has a 2% BHA I haven’t yet tried.

Glow recipe has a great watermelon BHA PHA toner. I believe they also have a BHA serum I have not tried. I also really love CeraVe 2% BHA with AHA serum.

I think the most important thing to ask based on the picture you uploaded of your forehead is if you’re using any conditioner or hair products that are comedogenic. You may have pomade acne in which case you’d just need to change how you do your hair routine.
