Blackheads, Acne, and Scars

I have a lot of blackheads around and on my nose that never want to go away. Is there any good, effective way to get rid of them? I also get the occasional pimple that leaves a dark spot on my skin. I was wondering if there's any way to get rid of and prevent acne so the scars don't keep coming back and a way to get rid of the ones I already have.

Short of scheduling a facial, my go-to solution has always been St. Ive's Apricot Scrub. Great product. It doesn't solve the problem but it helps, especially for random dark spots (clogged pores) on my cheeks and the top of my nose. For the sides of the nose it does work on the larger offenders. Not perfect though. I agree with the Dr Brandt's suggestion, but if you don't feel like spending $45 on a solution just yet, you can get St. Ive's at any drugstore for around $5.

I also squeeze mine out, but that's probably the worst advice you'll ever be given on this topic 🙂

I recently bought Dr Brandt's best skin ever mini set that includes the cleanser, vacuum cleaner and some lotions. This is my second day using it and i can already see some results. I have pores on my nose and cheeks which gives me pimples all the time, i have pimples on my forehead too, so when i used the product last night my skin felt smooth and today i see that my pimples on the forehead have reduced, my face looks much calmer and the pimples on my face look calmer. I would suggest buy the mini kit and give it a try.
Good Luck

Hello!

OMGoodness, you have to try Dr. Brandt's "Vacuum Cleaner" from his pores no more line!! It does just that, "vacuum out" any dirt, oil, and blackheads. It leaves your skin smooth as a baby's bottom. Enjoy

I have had the same problem all my life and still do at the age of 44. Currently I am trying Cosmedicine Best Skin Ever for Oily/Combination Skin Kit, which includes the Healthy Cleanse for Oily Skin, which is a cleaner and toner in one. The kit also has Medi-Morphosis self adjusting exfoliator, which I use twice weekly. The kit also has Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion, which is different for a day moisturizer, but it does keep down the sheen.  Daily I use Dermologica's Daily Exfoliant. Every other night I use Institut Esthederm Osmoclean, which is a deep pore cleanser you apply to your dry skin and rub over your problem areas until it become thick and sticky, then you rinse with warm water and a wash cloth. Weekly I use Queen Helene's Original Mint Julep Masque. The Osmoclean is around $40.00 and lasts a long time and is worth every penny. The Queen Helene Masque is about $4.00. Both work great. And I also have an extraction tool I use after a steamy bath and only on the stubborn ones. Good Luck!!
