Acne treatment.

Im looking for an all over acne treatment for my face. Something that will prevent breakouts and help treat and heals them too. WITHOUT leaving a scar. I have oily skin and prone to breakouts. Occasionally get cystic acne and get many white heads. Preferably something oil-free and non-comedogenic. Any suggestions?

If none of the other products mentioned here work for you, try some tea tree oil diluted on a damp cotton ball. Wipe this over your face at night - it has a strong smell and you don't have to dilute but it seems to be most effective on top of a base of water or oil (like jojoba, or whatever works for you). Make sure it's 100% tea tree oil, organic's probably best (to avoid pesticides). 

This has been the best treatment for me. I cleanse with a hypoallergenic cleanser and the Clarisonic brush, then follow with tea tree oil.

Also - make sure you're not allergic to anything - cystic acne seems to come most from stress, hormones and allergies. So breathe deeply, get some tests, pay attention to what you eat. I really didn't think it was food, for years - and then I finally started a food diary and realized that my bad skin is totally from what I eat (goodbye soy).

I would definitely try the Kate Somerville Anti Bac Clearing Lotion! You can put this on after your toner and before moisturizer, and it kind of works like a primer too. It keeps your face matte while also preventing acne. Hope this helps, good luck!

It depends of your skin. You have to try.

Some persone have better result with Salicylic Acid, others like me, have better results with benzol peroxyde. I have try and like DDF and Kate Sommerville wich you can buy via Sephora. Proactiv is good too.

For me, what gave me the best results is this combination (the less expensive combination I tried!):

Fabulous Cleanser by Bliss (around 20$)

A low cost prescription for acne Clindamycin (around 9$/5 months) (topical antibiotics)

Acne foundation by Clinique (around 25$ with Salicylic acid)

Murad did nothing for me.

Try products that contain Salicylic Acid. You can try Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Line, Anti Blemish, Anti Wrinkle Cream. It contains both salicylic acid retinol that cures and prevents acne. If you want to splurge...you may want to try Murad Acne Complex Kit. This product really really clears up the acne.
