I havnt tried tea tree oil to treat scars but I use neosporin ointment to treat scaring from pimples, ingrown hairs, dark spots, and other facial imperfections. Believe it or not, it works WONDERS! I use tea tree for my hair but will give it a try to heal other areas

Yes, I have used straight tea tree oil for pimples and my daily clarifying oil has tea tree as one of the main ingredients. Tea Tree does work. It can clear up skin issues that are active and also works on rashes if they are itchy. I also will use it in my hair if my scalp feels like it's irritated. I haven't used it specifically for hyperpigmentation or scaring. I prfer Vit C or retinol for that.

Agreed, I'm not sure that tea tree oil is nearly as effective as vitamin C, retinol, or AHA.

It can irritate if used directly on skin. My sister worked with Herbal/Tinktures at her last job. You can buy it already diluted but NOT in alcohol - that will make everything even more irritated, itchy and flakey. I'm sure "the ordinary" has something or your local herb/vitamin shop.

If you do decide to use it straight PATCH TEST the same area however many times you plan to use it, for a couple days. 😃

I use tea tree oil diluted in witch hazel as a step before my moisturizing routine, both morning and night. It helps with acne and scars but can't work miracles by itself.

I use pure tea tree oil on my blemishes, I get it from green planet, it works wonders but can be a bit strong so sometimes I dilute it with coconut oil, and I only spot treat with it I never put it all over my face!

If youre set on using tea tree oil find a product that contains it. On its own its very average. It is one of the most fragrant plant oils so keep that in mind(could be irritating). 2.5% to 10% are usually the concentrations recommended to help breakouts and other skin concerns. Higher than that and youre going to get red and very sensitive.

For me it really worked. It worked well on redness and swelling, and like within a few hours the bump or pimple flattens. It does dry out your skin though so be careful.

Yes it does work, it's an antibacterial, antiviral, and a antifungal all in one. It's help a lot better than anything you can find at the store. Also, putting Bragg's unfiltered raw apple cider vinegar with "the mother" in it, is an absolutely amazing face toner, that you splash on after washing your face. However it does burn if you have a break out but the burn goes away fast and will not irritate your skin. Also tea tree helped with my acne and scars. I used both Briggs ACV and tea tree oil. Just make sure you get the Bragg's brand of apple cider vinegar, others will not work effectively.

Yes it works! It kills the acne bacteria. I use it 2-3 times a week, after I was my face in the shower. Leave it on 10-15 seconds then rinse off. Follow up with a toner and moisturizer.
