Skincare Routine of the Day

This is a place to share your skincare routine of the day! Whether it be daytime routine or nighttime routine, I know you have one. From simple to complex, expensive to inexpensive products: show and tell! If you are anything like me, your skincare routine changes daily. Skincare isn't as showy as makeup, but it is the quiet work horse of our daily lives.

You might want to include with your post: your skin type, skin concerns (& the weather where you are).

⭐ Sometimes if all you can do is your skincare, that is enough.

My morning routine:

It doesn't really change until I run through a product and then onto the next, because my goal is to work through all of my stash. I have fairly normal skin (minus some overexfoliation a few weeks ago). Its winter, and I just moved to a humid-ish climate.

Cleasner: I didn't make a picture of my cleanser, but I'm using . It's good? Cleans, mostly gentle. Foams. It's a good standard, not my favorite, but trying to finish my stash before buying more.

Micelle water: . Again, not my favorite, but was looking for a cheaper dupe of my fav. Its supposed to be non rinse, but is a little tacky.

Toner: . I haven't used enough to have a full review, but no negative reactions so far.

Essence: . I don't think this does much for me? It's the first essence I've tried, so going to see if another does anything beyond helping following products absorb. It doesn't have any negative reactions but is a little tacky. Absorbs fairly quickly.

Firming serum: . I really like this. I think it's actually doing things for my eye lines! It absorbs quickly, thin texture, not tacky.

Vitamin C serum/hydrating: . I like this. I think it's a good serum, definitely helps my skin be more luminous, but it doesn't spread the best, so I have to use a fair bit. Am going to try to find another serum that works similarly, but will go back to this maybe.

Brightening/hydrating serum: . I know this is supposed to be a brightening serum, which I think it does to a bit, I find it hydrating as well, which is mostly what I've been using it for.

Spot treatment: . I think this works, albeit slowly. It's obviously drying but not the most drying if that makes sense. I'm definitely on the lookout for a better one.

Moisturizer: . Oooof this is not my favorite. I don't love the texture, and it doesn't even blur very well. It's not the most hydrating, which for my new climate is okay, but in Calgary was not. I'm so close to being done with it though!

Oil (not pictured): . I got this in a boxycharm box, I think. Its definitely not my favorite, but again, we working through those stashes. It's pretty, got some pink and sparkles, but oh gosh this does nothing. It doesn't even really add luminosity and underneath other things gets fairly lost. Its fairly tacky though, so it can kinda work as a primer.

Sunscreen (not pictured): . Great absorption, works well, good protection, but is runny (I use my beauty blender) and definitely leaves a white cast. And the buffet. They help keep my skin brighter, clearer, and more even.

The Juice beauty eye treatment is wonderful as well. I also have one waiting in the background. I feel like it helps the lines and keeps my skin hydrated. I do have a couple more eye creams to go through. As well, having started my skincare journey this year, I have few other eye creams to compare it with.

I quite enjoy that for my lines and wrinkles- it helps them to seem less prominent. I also need to use it consistently when I get it again. I ran out and have been missing it! I need to order another one.

I have the SK-II waiting for me. I think I noticed a difference when I used a sample-size before, so I ordered one.

Typical morning routine. Glycolic acid toner, Vitamin C serum, usually another serum, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen.

@l8totheparty My routine doesn’t change all that much on a daily/weekly basis, which is why I keep it in spreadsheet form. But I do still have some skincare items on deck for testing... maybe I’ll share those in this thread, once I rotate them into my routine.

Meanwhile, here’s my latest skincare routine list. Only thing missing is my midday/afternoon post-workout routine, because I haven’t started it up again yet. 😄

@WinglessOne how does the Paula's Choice anti-redness exfoliant compare to the gel? I use the former but I use it on cotton pads and I feel like I'm wasting a bit of product.
