What are the best lip products of this year and why?

I'm almost overwhelmed by how many amazing options of lip products to choose from this year! Between Dior, Summer Fridays, YSL, and more, which ones are your favorite?

I personally haven't grown to like any of the new releases of lip gloss, but that is just my opinion. I love the rare beauty lip oil, and I have for a while. it is just so pretty not much can beat it. too faced lip injection is also the best plumping gloss I have ever tried. I just recently got the lawless forget the filler and I've only tried it once but it might be a new fave it is so nice!! what is your favorite?

Hi @vallyyyyy !! Really? How about right out the gate on the affordable price side all day every day . The stuff has staying power keeps my lips glossed and moisturized. Next . This is my go to for no makeup look days. Then of course right now my all time favorite best ever from the heaves up above . For the month of April I'm hoping to get . I hope that helps u some. Keep it pink.

I never got into the summer fridays lip products, I don't think I have even one. I do like their jet lag mask however. I also have the Sephora collection plumping gloss, it feels nice. I like how it plumps with mint instead of chemicals or peppers. I already have so many lip products, I try my hardest not to buy any more than I need. I have way more than I will ever use and I regret buying so many because I could have saved a lot of money and I wouldn't waste any product. I love your suggestions though, they all look great. is your favorite color of gloss pink? I tend to go for more of a brown gloss because I am african American and pink tends to look weird on my skin

Yes I prefer pink u gotta get what works best for u. Right now those are my favorite lip products to make my lips shiny and keeps them hydrated.

@vallyyyyy, I love a deep brown lip and a pink one. But, yes if your lips are two toned (mine are) a pink sometimes contrasts very starkly, usually a lip liner helps on the edges to interupt the harshness. Or, you can go for a two tone look by using the liner to fade in or ombre the pink color.

Seconding @sissyboi72 with , Riri and Fuschia Flex are gorgeous. Riri goes more mauve.

Also, allow me to introduce you to , they have various degrees of pigments, with Smitten being very pink (if you want to give it a go) and excellence giving that classic 90s look. They make liners, too

Thank you for your suggestions! I'm not sure if it is the exact same lip product, but I got some sort of Ami Cole lip product in a Sephora Favorites set, and it grew mold very quickly. I saw other reviews online with the same problem, but I bought it anyway thinking they were over reacting. They were not! Lol!

@vallyyyyyI've seen those reviews, too and honestly, I'm not deterred. I haven't experienced mold with any of the ones I've owned. I also go through them with a fair amount of ease, and don't really mix them (example double gloss look). A lot of those remarks were around a similar time, so I attribute it to possibly being being a bad batch. People also make those complaints on Patrick Ta boss blushes, and I haven't experienced mold there either. The other thing is that sometimes products are shipped in an extreme temperature, so there's usually a separation or discoloration that might be mistaken for mold/spoilage. Like way back in there's convos on lip gloss separating and bloom on lipsticks.

In the end, use your judgement, but I still think Ami Colé is a worthwhile brand

Absolutely, I don't think there is anything wrong with the brand. I think it could have been a batch issue. But it was definitely mold because I got a pretty light shade so there shouldn't be that dark of a color, let alone a green, in it anyway. I didn't want to believe it either because I did pay for it and that's kind of a waste. It might not be the best idea but I still do use it sometimes when I feel like it because I don't like things going to waste even if they have gone bad, so I just try to avoid that part. Nothing has happened to my lips or skin because of it. I mean, most molds don't hurt anything. It is just something I noticed.

I have seen the 2 main concerns about it are that the seal isn't tight enough and it leaks and that there is mold. They both could be part of the same issue.
