The Son and Park Beauty Water is my HG @Kaelisha! It's so gentle, refreshing, and has helped smooth my skin. I also use during the day for extra hydration and as a nice pick me up.

@Kaelisha, my go-to toners these days are either Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner or Be The Skin Botanical Nutrition Power Toner. They are both very hydrating and I love layering either under the Amore Pacific Vintage essence. Both the Pyungkang Yul and Be The Skin toners are great but if you have really dry skin, I'd go for the Be The Skin toner.

Hey @Anonymous, what effects did you see in your skin while using the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner? I just bought one because of how clean the ingredient list is and I wanted a more hydrating toner for the winter.

hi @juliehnguyen, I also purchased the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner because of how clean it was (love that about this product!) and it's not fragranced like some K-beauty products can be. It absorbs really well and it's not sticky at all; it also leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. In the winter, I will sometimes get dry patches around my cheeks and above my eyebrows, but when I use this consistently, I notice less dryness.

I really like using the PY toner in combination with Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin cream, which is my go-to moisturizer in the dead of winter - when it's really cold and windy and my skin gets red and I have dry patches. I'll use it as a toner before the Dr. Jart+ or if my skin is feeling or looking particularly dry that day, I may pat more than 1 layer of the PY toner on and then the Dr. Jart+ cream.

Thanks @Anonymous for replying! I love the Son and Park Beauty Water so much so I have been hesitant to try the Pyunkang Yul because I feel like I'll be betraying the beauty water. But after reading your review, I definitely need to start incorporating it into my skincare routine.

And omg I love the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream. I always recommend this product to everyone who asks about a good moisturizer for dry skin. My skin was really dehydrated and oily about a year ago when I was using so many acids to treat my acne. But when I discovered this product it has been such a game-changer. All my dry patches disappeared and in combination to a better skincare routine, my oil production was regulated and my skin cleared up a lot.

Maybe there's room in your routine for both Son & Park and the Pyunkang Yul? I know, that's not helpful, is it @juliehnguyen? 😉 Sorry.

Seriously though, the PY Essence Toner is pretty great. A woman at my work started using it earlier this year (and her skin is amazing!) and she is now using the entire line because she loved it so much!

The Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream is definitely a must have for dry skin in the winter. I like the Ceramidin cream so much that I purchased his Ceramidin Cream sheet mask. Saving it for when it gets a colder, but am looking forward to trying it out.

Reading your reviews got me so excited to try the product that I even patch tested it tonight @Anonymous. I was surprised how thick the consistency of it was at first but then I really liked how lightweight it was on my skin. Guess I have to cheat on Son and Park at night.

And I had no idea Dr. Jart+ carried a ceramidin sheet mask 😱. No amount of words can describe the love I have for their sheet masks, especially the V7 toning mask! This mask makes my skin so bright and luminous when I wake up.

Yaay @juliehnguyen! I'm glad you like it. It does seem thick but it's so light on the skin - a little goes a long way as well. It feels so refreshing too.

There are so many good essences/toners out there - I think I have about 3 or 4 that I don't think I want to ever be without.

Yes! Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin line is great - very moisturizing and calming. You are so right, their sheet masks are great! I've been eyeing the V7 toning mask for a while now. Since it has a @juliehnguyen endorsement ("bright and luminous" sounds fantastic!), I'm going pick one (maybe 2 - ha!) up to try over the holidays.

YAHH I woke up without any redness or breakouts on my left cheek @Anonymous! I'm excited to see how this essence toner will respond over time.

I tried so many toners and all of them either caused me to breakout or just didn't do anything. I think the "meh" products didn't adjust my pH levels so the products I layered after lost its effect because it was trying to correct my skin's natural pH. The products just ended up sitting on my face, rather than being absorbed.

Yaaaay, @juliehnguyen! I'm so happy to hear the essence toner worked out so well for you! Sometimes we have to go through 'meh' products and even some 'oh noooo, never again' items before learning about what makes our skin tick and finding the products, techniques or routine that are most compatible with our skin. I am always excited when I find a product that just ... works, like it's meant for your skin. And I am so very happy to hear that the PY essence toner is working for you.

You make such an excellent point about finding/using products that adjust our pH levels and how much more effective it is when a product is actually absorbed into the skin, rather than just having the layers sit on top of each other. Well said.

LOVE masksheets.com!! Amazing deals and delivery is so easy and quick. I love their selection as well - products and brands that are mainstream or well known as well as ones I've not heard of before. They're one of the reasons I need to be very selective about purchasing any more sheet masks - it's just so easy to keep putting items in my cart and checking out - lol!

I like Ole Henriksen Balancing Force Oil Control Toner. It does its work gently but effectively. I also like Murad Essential-C Toner for its brightening effects but I can only use it a couple times a week because it can irritate and dry out my sensitive skin.

Well said @Anonymous. Up until two years ago I had extremely bad acne. At that time, I thought that using acne treatments would solve the problem but 10+ years passed and I didn't see any improvements. If anything, I felt the treatments made it worst - my acne that was contained on my forehead began to migrate all over my face. When I talked to a dermatologist, I realized that not all products are meant for everyone. Yes, the product may have been curated for acne-users, but it was not suitable for my skin. My skin was reacting against benzoyl peroxide and all the other acids made my face drier than the Sahara Desert. I started listening to my skin and paying more attention to it. Now, when people ask me now how I cleared up my skin, I always tell everyone to listen to their skin. It knows what it wants so do not try to force it into loving a product just because others talk so highly about it.

YASS I'm glad you love masksheets.com as much as I do! They truly are amazing but sometimes I wish that I never discovered them. I spend so much of my paycheck on this site because they carry so many different types of sheet masks and I just want to try them all. At least winter is upon us and I can step up my sheet mask game!
