Tips for going blond?

I'm looking to switch up my hair color for the summer and see if I like it. My current hair color is a light brown and is pretty thin. I've never changed my hair color at all so I'm looking for some tips and/or suggestions on products to use!

Look into Olaplex both when dying the hair and aftercare. It will help it keep as healthy as possible from bleaching.

Be really gentle with your hair after and don't over wash. Olaplex is a god send! To keep the colour from tinting make sure you have some purple shampoo and use a clear oil after washing ie rose. Good luck ❤️

I in the process of going lighter again! My hair is naturally dark brown and I have been switching up my color for years. I suggest that making sure your hair is healthy to have it colored. I usually schedule a cut a few weeks before to remove the dead/dry ends. Going lighter with your hair is a process and it is better to schedule it over a few appointments rather than going light in one sitting (your hair will be healthier)! Also, make sure that you use a mask a few times a week!

Going to second the others - olaplex in every step! You can use the salon locator on Sephora.com to find an olaplex salon local to you - and keep up with the #3 treatments at home as well! With blonde, patience is key. You may not get as blonde as you hoped in your first salon session, but with a little patience and good home care between visits, you’ll be there in no time, and with healthy hair.
