Hair masks are really good to do atleast once or twice a week between regular hair care routine to help nourish hair after swimming there are many different hair mask options

I personally love

I was going to respond but your hair knowledge is vast @GG84 🙏🩷

I am interested to hear how @luvtheswimmers and you respond.

When I swim I just make sure to rinse out my hair really well and shampoo if possible. I usually use a spray in conditioner because my hair is super dry and it needs the moisture after swimming. ( And I'll Use micro fibre towel, not my beach towel on my hair)

You need a strong barrier to prevent the Chlorine from penetrating your hair. Aqua Guard Pre-Swim Cream is what I would recommend. You apply to damp hair before swimming (just mist it wet). It will dry into the hair and block the chlorine from your hair. Shampoo with a moisturizing formula like

I have thick long hair and a few summers ago as a camp counselor had to get in the pool twice a day for about 3 months.

ultra swim shampoo for sure I recommend. It chemically breaks down the chlorine that regular shampoos can’t. You can find it at any drugstore & a lot grocery stores.
the pre swim cream sounds likes a great idea. If you can’t get ahold of it, apply conditioner or a leave in conditioner spray to your hair before the pool. You can also just get your hair wet with fresh water before going in

And def a leave in conditioner for after the shower. I love Ouai and but you can totally go drug store here if u want
