Playa Healing Hair Masque

hi!

i finally got around to using the playa hair mask sample I got previously, but I was saddened when I found out that the brand went out of business!

it made my hair so smooth and soft
calmed my frizz
and it could also be used on the scalp!

does anyone have any recommendations for alternative masks that gives a similar result?

@melibeli That brand smelled so good! I never tried the mask, but I bought the shampoo and tried samples of the conditioner, oil, and wave spray. Hopefully someone has a recommendation for you!

@melibeli While I don't know of an exact dupe, the brand founder for Playa left the company after a corporate move. She's now founded a new brand, "California Naturals" which I believe is sold in Target. They do appear to have a hair mask in their line up. If designed by the same person/team it may be similar?

@melibeli look at the brand Shaz and Kiks. They seem to also do hair products containing Amla and Kaolin.

They have a shampoo and two different types of prewash masks (depending on your hair type). They are on the pricier side so maybe a good purchase for the upcoming sale.

Vegamour hair mask is so amazing. It softens and reduces the frizz in my hair, and ever since I started using it, my hair as been much easier to handle! I’ve also heard great things about the gisou hair mask. I haven’t tried it yet, but I am definitely thinking about it.
