MEMORY MIST NO MORE?

Who has opinions on Ouai renaming the Memory Mist to "Heat Protectant". They say it is the exact same formula but a new name to better reflect the product. They took out all mention of it holding a curl. I'm confused because I thought that is why people loved it in the first place!

Products with memory retention often confuse consumers and it probably reflected in their sales. Calling it a Heat Protectant while maintaining the same technology isn’t a bad thing. Did you try it to see if it still holds a curl?

So I’m a newbie to the curling game in general. I have been practicing the past few weeks so I guess that’s partly why I was asking others their opinion on holding a curl. I’m not sure what I think about it because I’m not confident in my general ability yet and I’m also not using all the “finishing” products while I’m practicing. I have a “memory mist” bottle by the way.

I get why they would want to call it a heat protectant (even though memory mist was a really cute name!) But the description doesn’t even MENTION hold anymore. That seems odd to me.

Since you have an old bottle, compare the ingredients.
Were you previously using this as a finishing product or before curling?
