Drybar Or Living Proof?

Need opinions. Dry bar or living proof? And if I go with living proof I’m not sure which one to get. My hair is colored, dry, damaged, and frizzy 😔

I tried both Drybar and Living Proof. While both were nice, I found that my hair responded better to Alterna Caviar products, and that I needed less.

Hi! I don’t know if this is important too you, but DryBar is a cruelty-free brand (meaning they do not test on animals). It might be something to consider, if you can’t decide!

@Alysondra I am also a fan of Alterna Caviar products, but in addition to those shampoos and conditioners, I use Ouidad's Moisture Lock Leave-In Conditioner to calm my frizz and bring out my curls. It smells really nice too.

@Alysondra What types of products are you looking for? Shampoo? Conditioner? Treatment? Styling Products?

I use Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment for deep conditioning and I use Dry Bar Triple Sec as a base to hold my curls when I curl my hair. But I also mix and match products from other brands, too.

This actually is something I’m working on! I’m working on making my entire collection cruelty free. One of my animal testing apps has living proof listed under ‘do not test’ as well (app is cruelty cutter). Maybe I’ll email living proof to clarify their stance? Thanks!

I actually like to switch off between Living Proof and Dry Bar for shampoo (I have bleach damaged, dry hair). I love the living proof restore shampoo and Drybar Sake Bomb shampoo, both super nourishing for dry hair. My go to deep conditioner is Mudslide from DB though, my hair soak it up and it smells and feels amazing. I only wash my hair about once a week so instead of using regular conditioner I just use the Mudslide mask once a week 🙂
