I use a color safe shampoo- Redken! It works, and a tip is to wash your hair in cold water. Not the best, but it does the job! 🙂 I just colored my hair purple, and also use a purple shampoo once a week to help the fading. Also- use a heat protectant! 🙂

Products for colored hair?

I dyed my hair peach about a month ago and didn't have the money to get special shampoo for it because I was in between jobs, now I'm looking to find a shampoo and possibly a conditioner that will keep my hair from fading so quickly. Any suggestions?

My colorist swear by co-wash products when you want your color to fade less fast. It's a shampoo a lot less agressive than usual, it preserve more color and you don't need to use conditionner after (in my case at least and I have very thick hair)

at Sephora, you have Smoke and Mirror by IGK and Be Gentle, Be Kind™ Avocado + Quinoa Co–Wash by Briogeo that I tried and loved.

Wash less and when you do, use less shampoo and cold water. Avoid shampoo with sulfates or alcohol (often "color safe" shampoos have these so check labels). In between washes you can use dry shampoo or rinse hair with diluted apple cider vinegar. If this is drying you can follow up with conditioner. I was a big fan of color-depositing shampoo when I was doing red hair but talk with your colorist on this one. Good luck!

Try not to wash it everyday, and if you feel that your hair gets oily fast try dry shampoo! Also rinse with cool water. Hot water opens the cuticle and the color will come out more quickly. Try finding a color care shampoo and conditioner.
