What was the first perfume you ever purchased? - Oh, probably something from Victoria Secret. If I were to guess I'd say it was the EDT version of Love Spell.

What got you into fragrances? - Hm, I don't really know. It was just another beauty related area to explore I suppose.

What is your signature perfume? - Lancome La Vie Est Belle I'd say.

What are 3 of your favorite houses? - Atelier Cologne, Elizabeth and James, Pinrose.

What are your favorite fragrance notes? - Patchouli, white florals, mandarin, sandalwood.

What has been your worst blind buy? - It was a Michael Kors one... Coral maybe? I don't even think they make it anymore.

What has been your best blind buy? - YSL Mon Paris I think. I try not to blind buy fragrances too much if I can avoid it. The MK one was blind and bad so I learned from that haha.

What is your most recent perfume purchase? - Amazing Grace Ballet Rose

What is your favorite fragrance in your collection? - La Vie Est Belle, but I do feel bad for my others! Hahahaha. I can't be the only one who feels bad for their other products when they say something else is their favorite. I just like it because it's appropriate year round in any situation. I never have to question it.

What is your dream fragrance? - Ooh, I don't know! Maybe something with a nice subtle musk and white florals.

What fragrance/cologne do you like on your significant other? - I've always liked Polo Blue, but I also like Acqua Di Gio.

What is your favorite lazy day fragrance? - Pinrose Pillowtalk Poet.

What is your pick me up fragrance? - Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine.

What is your favorite spring/summer perfume? - Pinrose Wild Child.

What is your favorite fall/winter perfume? - Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon.

What perfumes are you currently lusting over? - The new Atelier one! Iris Rebelle.

If you had your own fragrance released into the industry, which one of your fragrances would it resemble/what it would be like? - Hm, I don't even know haha. I'd want it to be more unique than generic, and I like how Pinrose is very much note based to combine and layer. So I'd probably like doing something along those lines.

If you could collaborate with anyone from the fragrance community, who would it be and why? - Juicy Couture probably haha. Only because I like most of their fragrances already but they have room to expand and I wouldn't feel like I'm adding just another fragrance that's the exact same.

What is your next fragrance purchase? - Probably that Atelier one, but I'd like to try it first.

What was your most dramatic fragrance buying experience? - Dramatic? Most of my purchases of anything are pretty drama free so I don't really have an answer.

1 First pefume purchased...hmmm, I think Love’s Baby Soft when I was a teen lol.

2 I became very interested in fragrances because of my mom. She had Dior Poison and some other lovely ones that intrigued me growing up.

3 My signature perfume at this time is Jo Malone English Oak and Hazelnut.

4 My three favorite perfume houses: Chanel, Dior, Jo Malone.

5 Favorite notes.... hmmm, so many- and I am drawing a blank at the moment. 😄

6 Worst blind buy... Angel by Thierry Mugler, smelled absolutely horrid on me.

7 Best blind buy... Alien by Thierry Mugler. So unique and mysteriously beautiful. I love it.

8 Most recent purchase: Dior J’Adore

9 Favorite fragrance in my collection: Chanel N 5 Eau Premiere

10 Dream fragrance: Something with a combo of marshmallow, lavender, vanilla. BBW had a line out with these notes during the holidays and it is heavenly. And, I am very picky so I was quite impressed. I would want it in eau de parfum form!!

11 Stetson cologne for my guy lololol!!

What kind of drama is going on in the world of perfumes that I am not aware of?! 😄

I've never been one for citrusy scents much, but mmmm Orange Sanguine is so yummy! It plays so well with other scents, too.

I am so curious about that new AC!

@lyravega Yeah, my local Sephora doesn’t carry many Atelier in store so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to try it. I’d be surprised if they carried that one. I’m hoping some reviews will start popping up soon!

What got you into fragrances? I've always loved scents. I have a box full of essential oils as well and have spent a stupid amount of money on Japanese incense. But I started studying perfumes and sampling them widely when I found places that ship samples of hard-to-find perfumes like Luckyscent. That was maybe a two or three years ago?
What is your signature perfume? I don't have one, I can't commit!
What are 3 of your favorite houses? This is really really tough. There are a lot of great houses. For myself personally (so not necessarily what I would consider the best, just what I like) it's Roja Dove, Papillon Artisan Fragrances and Frédéric Malle.
What are your favorite fragrance notes? Vetiver, labdanum, castoreum, leather, smoke, liquors, cardamom
What has been your worst blind buy? I never blind buy! I'm so, so picky.
What has been your best blind buy? n/a
What is your most recent perfume purchase? Malle's Noire Epices? I'm not sure...
What is your favorite fragrance in your collection? They are all special in their own way 🙂
What is your dream fragrance? Anything that surprizes and delights me, that makes me see (smell?) a note in a totally different way.

What is your favorite lazy day fragrance? L'Artisan Parfumeur's Timbuktu, Mono di Orio's Vanille or 4160 Tuesday's Sleep Knot. Although I tend not to have many lazy days.
What is your pick me up fragrance? CdG's Original.
What is your favorite spring/summer perfume? Spring calls for something gentle, like Malle's Angeliques Sous La Pluie or something green and chill, like L'Artisan P's Dzongkha. For the summer, I wear 4160 Tuesday's Ealing Green to cut through the sweltering heat.
What is your favorite fall/winter perfume? I find myself turning to Etat Libre d'Orange's Fat Electrician these frigid days. For fall, Papillon's Anubis is suitably smoky.
What perfumes are you currently lusting over? Pure Distance's M. Everything by Parfums Dusita.
If you had your own fragrance released into the industry, which one of your fragrances would it resemble/what it would be like? I'm not sure.... probably a leather.
If you could collaborate with anyone from the fragrance community, who would it be and why? OMG. This is so hard. Maybe Frédéric Malle. Or noses like Bertrand Duchaufour, Liz Moores, Roja Dove, Montri Umavijani.... If we extend this to people who have passed away.... even harder!!! But I do think out of all these people, Moores strikes me as the kindest, the most gracious, so perhaps her.
What is your next fragrance purchase? I'm not sure... but am thinking about the L'Artisan Parfumeur Travel Set.
What was your most dramatic fragrance buying experience? I bought a perfume for a dear friend from overseas when she came to visit me. It was so lovely to buy her something so special.

1.What was the first perfume you ever purchased?

Ralph Lauren Hot (purple bottle) in high school...I don’t even remember the smell but everyone had the blue one and I wanted to be different, but not too different apparently..lol.

2.What got you into fragrances? A combo of my mom/ friends but also I loved reading magazines and the ads got to me, all sex appeal and perfume seemed so adult and sophisticated.

3.What is your signature perfume? I’m so into Black Opium right now, especially for winter but fave for special occasions is Creed Vanille Sublime and daytime/ all occasion is Creed Aqua Fiorentina.

4.What are 3 of your favorite houses?

Creed, Marc Jacobs, YSL

5.What are your favorite fragrance notes?

Violet!!!! Vanilla!!!

If it was for money, something universally likeable, in the way of Marc Jacobs. His campaign shoots always attract me and get a lot of publicity. If it was more niche/ something entirely me, I’d want something different and unique, I love violet but also like smokiness and a richness/ gourmand scent. I don’t know...those don’t work well together! This is why I need to go to France and explore!

18.If you could collaborate with anyone from the fragrance community, who would it be and why?

19.What is your next fragrance purchase?

Im nowhere near purchasing a new fragrance until I get through some samples, or maybe if I finish a whole bottle I could treat myself just a bit..hmm..

What was the first perfume you ever purchased? Tommy Girl, probably. I feel like this question shows our ages, ha.

What got you into fragrances? I think it's just a natural thing for teens, especially with the popularity of Bath & Body Works back in the day.

What is your signature perfume? It changes with the season or my mood. Right now, I've been using Nest Citrine most days.

What are 3 of your favorite houses? Byredo, Jo Malone, Commodity

What are your favorite fragrance notes? Freesia. It's in my favorites--Byredo Inflorescence, Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia, Nest Citrine. Also, citrus, like Tocca Bianca, Commodity Mimosa, all the Atelier ones, and Citrine, of course. Finally, tea, like Tocca Bianca and Le Labo Thé Noir.

However, I did buy one rollerball fragrance for a friend for her birthday and she was thrilled. Just recently my mom tried on a few of my new scents. She usually doesn't like what I like, but she liked E&J Nirvana Amythist, so I gave it to her. For some reason, that surprised her (I don't know why; it's not like I've never given things to her before).

I have no idea what is that supposed to mean, either @Titian06 . I wonder if maybe my ( on-foot ) chasing this discontinued fragrance around the city would qualify... ? It was quite dramatic. To me. Never done that before. I usually don't care about limited editions, or discontinued stuff. Plenty of fish in the sea. But, this was/is love! 😄 Had to have it ( backup ). ( Yes! I did manage to get one! So, that dramatic chase was not in vain in the end. Phew. )

I would like to have a fragrance that smelled like my three favorite flowers - hyacinth, daffodils and tulips. I imagine it being like an Easter bonnet of flowers, so I'd call it "Bonnie."
If you could collaborate with anyone from the fragrance community, who would it be and why? Dior. I have respect for their fragrances, but haven't found one that is worth me parting with my money quite yet. I think if we worked together then it could happen! I also want to explore YSL.
What is your next fragrance purchase? Maybe Florabotanica by Balenciaga; I'd have to smell it first, though! I've only read about it!
What was your most dramatic fragrance buying experience? I don't put a lot of money into my fragrance, so probably the most dramatic buying experience was shopping VS during a clearance sale. I picked up about half a dozen body sprays. I still have them all, and had to palm some of them off on my sister.

Can I add another question? I'd like to know about people's favorite discotinued (or changed) fragrances? I smelled a vintage Elizabeth Arden Pretty and it was fantastic. What I smelled at Ulta was so different. I've read that the original White Shoulders was heavenly. There's a posting on MUA from a woman that claims her Australian father invented it; interesting to read. Finally, my sister had a body spray from Victoria's Secret that was called "Sexy Little Things." Now they have developed that end (or they did) but they've branched away from the original.

What got you into fragrances? The 90s grunge era, ironically. When you watch Nirvana's Smells like Teen Spirit, it doesn't at all imply that they use perfume or cologne. I just associate that time when I bought CKOne and that scent during the 90s watching Pearl Jam and Nirvana on MTV.
What is your signature perfume? I'm still on that journey.

What was your most dramatic fragrance buying experience? Honestly, the other day when I went into a department store and I went to almost every counter looking for a Summer 2018 perfume. The inside and outside of my forearms were overwhelmed by scents. Then for some god awful reason I decided to spray Black Opium on my décolletage, and when I came home by guy was covering his nose with his shirt and all he could smell was the Black Opium (I'll abbreviate it as 'BO' which is appropriate). So yeah, I'll never buy that scent even it gets rave reviews. I spent about 3 hours in the perfume section and didn't even come home with anything.
