This was very helpful, I have been using a mousse in my routine regularly but am still noticing the frizz. I have been using the Tresemme flawless curls moisturizing mousse. I haven't been using an oil but I plan to. I think I may need more moisturizing products in my routine then just the mousse, this helped a lot!😊

Hi everyone!

I have been noticing that, after I shower, my hair looks frizzy before it dries. I've been trying to get the curls to clump but they always look frizzy and separate. I'm looking for any reasons why this would be happening and any products/techniques to help fix it.

Thanks!

@FriendlyGal frizziness happens due to excess friction and/or dehydration. Since you said it happens after your shower while drying, it’s probably just dry. You can use oils or anti frizz products.
I like kreyol essence Hatian black castor oil, its a bit more dense and heavy than most oils. You can apply it on wet or dry hair but i prefer wet. If you’re a bit turned off by it being a thick and heavy oil, Curlsmith has a shine oil and a bonding oil which are way more lightweight and both are still good.
As for actual products, you can incorporate mousses or some kind of curl cream/gel. I have a lot of mousses i like, Camillie Rose Spiked honey mousse, <LI-PRODUCT title="PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross Curl Mousse" id="P501812_"></LI-PRODUCT> , and duex mousse def texture foam. You can decide which is best for you based off of price and reviews if you want. I also like Camillie Rose’s leave in conditioner cream and Carol’s Daughter born to repair defining cream. I don’t use all of these at the same time, i kind of pick and choose lol.
When you’re detangling try using a detangling brush rather than a regular comb (unless you have more of a wavy hair type, which in that case they say you should use a wide tooth comb) and scrunch after.

The only thing about it is if i’m not careful about how much i use, it can weigh my hair down. But it definitely tames the frizziness.
