I just started using the no poo too but don't have any itchiness. That does not sound good. I would stop using it. Maybe try it again in a few weeks and determine if it is this or another product causing it. How often are you using it? Are there any other new products you have added or just no poo? I agree that you probably aren't doing anything wrong and wish I could help more. I am not sure how I feel about no poo yet but I do enjoy <LI-PRODUCT title="DEVACURL - Buildup Buster™ Micellar Water Cleansing Serum" id="P417007_1895630"></LI-PRODUCT>

Deva Curl Residue?

I just started using the Deva Curl line. I use the No Poo Cleanser. I'm new to it, so the no lather thing is a bit odd to me. I'm starting to suspect that I'm not getting all the cleanser out of my hair. My head has been extra itchy since I started using it and when I scratch, I'm definitely getting some product on my hands. Any one else have this problem? Am I doing it wrong? How can I be doing it wrong? Seems simple, but I'm obviously failing. lol

@amy50 A lot of people use a clarifying shampoo before starting the curly wash method. There is an adjustment period to the method though.

However, itchiness is typically a sign of irritation, and isn't normal. I received a gwp of devacurl, haven't used, but from one product was already bugging my senses and the ingredients would too.

Check out reddit r/curlyhair for devacurl tips/experiences.

I rec checking it out 🙂

I can only use it once a week, I also have to follow it up with the conditioner or my hair gets a build up too. My hair is just never happy, as soon as I find a favorite and buy it in a larger size it stops working!!!

You’re not failing @amy50. Your hair is trying to adjust to a new product and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It takes trial and error with curly hair and we have all been through it lol. I second @ShortErica. Not sure how frequently you are using the No poo but I would not suggest using it has your only method for cleansing curly hair. You may want to try the low poo formula or alternating the no poo for cowashing only and in-between using a clarifying shampoo to clean the scalp and residue.
