hi! so i need some advice. i’m a middle schooler right now and i don’t know what beauty products to get. i have a cleanser and that’s about it. i see my friends with like mascara and stuff but i feel like kind of lost and i want to look and feel my best during school but i don’t want to overdo it or have something too expensive. Any ideas? i’m looking for like 2-5 products that might help.

skin: normal & very fair - i’ve only gotten 3 or 4 pimples before

hair: wavy - THIS i need help with. i’m kind of in the middle between straight and curly and i like my hair straight but i don’t like heat damaging my hair all the time so maybe some curly products? just that i can do at night, again nothing too much.

@Annie3636 Cleanser’s a great start. The only things missing are a moisturizer to maintain your skin’s moisture and a sunscreen to protect it. If you’re active outdoors, you might already have a sunscreen to use. As for moisturizer, I have dry skin, so I’m at a bit of a loss for what to recommend. You could try <LI-PRODUCT title="SEPHORA COLLECTION All Day Hydrator Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer" id="P438617_"></LI-PRODUCT> and see if you like it. It also doubles as a primer if you decide to dive deeper into makeup like foundation or concealer.

If you want to try mascara too, <LI-PRODUCT title="ILIA Limitless Lash Lengthening Clean Mascara After Midnight" id="P431750_2335198"></LI-PRODUCT> is one of the easiest to use. It’s not clumpy at all, which makes it look like you’re a pro with it. A tip I learned with mascara. If you get some on your eyelid or anywhere you don’t want any, don’t panic. Let it dry, then grab a cotton swab and gently scrub it off. No need to mess with wipes and possibly undo all your hard work.

Also, don’t underestimate drugstore products. There are plenty of good options for both skincare and makeup there. For skincare, I recommend CeraVe or Byoma. For makeup, Maybelline is usually the first section I check out.

Hi @Annie3636 I think a cleanser is a great start.

For mascara there are alot of "Mini"'s for sale, type the in mascara mini and you'll see 😉. A mini is an more affordable way to try a brand, I like <LI-PRODUCT title="Benefit Cosmetics Mini They're Real! Magnet Extreme Lengthening Mascara Supercharged Black" id="P469438_2328128"></LI-PRODUCT>. If you want to dip your toes into wearing makeup, mascara and a colored lip gloss are a fun start, maybe something peachy or pink but really it's what you like and pulls your interest, makeup is fun and a way of expressing yourself. Whatever you choose should be something you love 💕

Don't feel pressured to wear anything you don't want to, take your time and enjoy the journey 🌈

(I do think watching how to videos are very helpful. Before I try new makeup ideas I usually watch a ton on YouTube before giving it a go on myself. Sephora's channel has alot of those too 😄)

I don't have any curly hair advice being super straight haired myself, tagging @curlychiquita for possible hair tips 💕🙏

Hi! I’m also in middle school! When I go to school I like a light weight makeup look, I wear the Kosas concealer just on my under eyes, next I do my blush. I really like the liquid rare beauty blush in shade happy, I would suggest half a dot on each cheek. Next is the rare beauty highlighter the powder in shade enlighten I have it both in powder and liquid. Personally I like the powder one better actually. I place the highlights along my nose and in the inner corners of my eyes. Lastly I wear bad gal bang by benefit mascara on both my bottom and top lashes. That’s really it for the makeup part. Here are all of the products <LI-PRODUCT title="Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter" id="P503711_"></LI-PRODUCT> <LI-PRODUCT title="Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Worth" id="P97989778_2640241"></LI-PRODUCT> <LI-PRODUCT title="Kosas Mini Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream Tone 03 W" id="P503996_2642288"></LI-PRODUCT> <LI-PRODUCT title="Benefit Cosmetics Mini BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara Mini Intense Pitch Black – 0.14 oz/ 4 g" id="P428505_2031813"></LI-PRODUCT>

so before all of that I would suggest doing 3 things before that makeup routine, first as you would do your cleanser and then next do a moisturizer, if your looking for something cheaper I would go with the cerave am moisturizer and if your going for more expensive I would definitely recommend the protini polypeptide cream by drunk elephant. next for cheaper the elf sunscreen and for more expensive supergoop sunscreen. Lastly either the lumi glowtion or drunk elephant bronzing drops. Now I will list the more expensive ones since those will be listed on Sephora but for cheaper you would need to go to a drug store like Walgreens or even target. <LI-PRODUCT title="Drunk Elephant Protini™ Polypeptide Firming Refillable Moisturizer" id="P427421_"></LI-PRODUCT> <LI-PRODUCT title="Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40" id="P454380_"></LI-PRODUCT> <LI-PRODUCT title="Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi™ Bronzing Drops with Peptides" id="P432668_2404721"></LI-PRODUCT>

Ok now hair, I have very coyly curly hair. So I would suggest some thing my sister uses for her wavy to curly hair. I would suggest shea moisture shampoo, conditioner, mousse, and curl smoothie she absolutely loves that brand and says she totally suggests it. I hope this helps!

Make sure to get a moisturizer! If

you have normal skin i'm sure you won't have trouble finding one you like. I would recommend starting with either Cetaphil or Neutrogena as they're both well priced and good ingredients. As for makeup get an eyelash curler and some clear mascara. It always looks super clean and you won't have to worry about it smearing throughout the day (especially good if you play sports)
