Zero/Minimal Waste Packaging Brands?

What are the brands, if any, that would be part of the "clean line" that don't use plastic packaging? I'm a skin care junkie but I feel terrible about all the plastic bottles I've gone through in my lifetime and would gladly support a brand that makes a real effort to provide a sustainable product, so many brands "green-wash".

Lush is a good idea, I'll check them out thank you! I'm looking specifically for an oil cleanser right now. I've used to Dermalogica PreCleanse for years and love it but stopped buying because of the plastic packaging.

Tata Harper uses a lot of glass compared to plastic but her products are also super expensive. It’s hard to justify a $105 cleanser.

Check out Naturaculina. It's not zero waste but she goes above and beyond to really consider sustainability in her packaging, shipping, etc.

You should try glow recipe. There products are all clean and most of the packaging is glass. Only two products are plastic packaged I think.

@AlexMFurey - There are several skincare lines that use glass and/or recyclable packaging - YTTP (Youth to the People), Biossance, Herbivore, Tata Harper, and Farmacy. Drunk Elephant uses plastic but I haven't looked to see what number it is for recycling - their outer packaging is recyclable cardboard.

Hi @AlexMFurey ! I love Biossance products. They are even backed by the EWG. Their packaging is plastic but made with recycled materials that can be recycled when done. also the box and "paper" that it comes with is all recycled materials as well. they even have a clean beauty academy on their website so you can learn about all of the ingredients including the "no-no's", the misconceptions of certain ingredients. it's so informative!!! www dot Biossance dot com/cleanacademy (I think..) good luck! 💜

Many cosmetics jars and bottles are actually not accepted in local recycling facilities. I would love to see sephora take back empty jars and bottles to recycle with Terracycle. l'Occitane Canada stores take back empties regardless of brands and recycles empties all the time.

I actually DMed drunk elephant to see if their packaging is recyclable, and they said although it currently isn't, they have plans to launch recyclable packaging next year

Tata's oil cleanser comes in a glass bottle. Great quality and doesn't cause congestion or breakouts.

Kinship is a great brand to check out, they use recycled plastic bottles from the ocean as packaging and you can scan the product to see exactly where yours came from! Krave beauty is another great brand to check out.
