I wanted to start this thread as a place to share about a beauty tool or tools that have worked for you, be it something you use for your skin (e.g., gua sha, face roller, spetralite face mask, etc.), or your body (body gua sha, infrared PEMF mat), or nails (e.g., glass file), or elsewhere.

I've put the to use every day during the long weekend, and I have to say, my initial impressions are good. 😊

Usage:

5 consecutive days
20 minutes each day
at the lowest setting (Level 1)

Body Condition BEFORE Using the Higher Dose PEMF Mat:

Soreness in left shoulder - at base of neck, just above the shoulder blade
Achiness / tightness along right hip

Body Condition AFTER Using the PEMF Mat for Five Consecutive Days:

Left shoulder feels less sore, has better movement and flexibility to it
Right hip is a lot less tight

What's Next?:

I plan on using this at least 3x per week, possibly nightly. Will post that routine to , once I figure out the best way to incorporate it into my current evening wind down routine.
I'll experiment with the settings and post updates to this thread about my experience with the mat, periodically, moving forward.

Initial Impressions:

Well, I'll be, this does work! At least, so far. Will be back later with update(s) but so far, I am very happy with this purchase and based on my experience over the last 5 days, I'd recommend this mat! 👍

Incredible thread idea! This mat is so interesting I love your plans on how you’re gonna use it and your initial impressions! This looks super relaxing. I’ll have to go through my stash and think of my fave tool I think right now it’s the I use it everytime I wash my hair and it really helps smooth things out I love how my hair feels after and it really helps using the with it too reach both my scalp and brush through hair. I even brush my hair dry with the wet brush I love it 🙂

@danielledanielle, I’ve used it in the following positions

- sitting upright - the mat was placed over my chair. This was okay. I felt the warmth in my glutes, hips and sides. I wasn’t able to find a comfortable position to feel warmth in my upper / middle back.

- supine / lying flat - this was good. The mat is not a full length, something to note. I’m 5’5-1/2” and this was fun for me. I propped my head on a pillow at the top of the mat. This way, I was able to feel the heat / warmth in my shoulders / upper back down to about mid-thigh.

- supine with knees bent - this allowed me really feel the warmth from the mat in my hips, glutes and back. Felt comfortable for the entire 20 minutes (auto shut off after 20, but you can do another round). This is my favorite position for using the mat.

- on my side, with emphasis on the hips and out thigh - a nice way to get some extra work / heat in specific areas.

NOTE: this is “half mat”. The brand offers a full length direct on its site - that’s $1K+

@CookieGirl1, it has four heat levels. I’m recalling some info from the packet that shares the temperature. Will look for that detail when I get home tonight.

@ather, I’m so happy with this purchase! I’ve used it sitting and lying down. So far, lying on my back with my knees bent has worked best for me. I want to try it sitting again; may have to test out a few chairs to see what works best.

Oh, tell me about this brush. I have it but it looks slightly intimidating 😱 You use it every time you wash your hair? Do you use it after you wash or during - to work your shampoo and conditioner through? Does it hurt when you use it on dry hair.

I know what you mean by the slightly intimidating look haha! So I use the immediatley after shampoo for my scalp then the brush to comb through then rinse I repeat the steps with conditioner and if I have a hair mask I do the same too! It doesn’t hurt with dry hair but I do that because my dry brush needed an update. I love all tools as well and it’s fascinating to learn about them 💕 I appreciate you starting this thread! @itsfi
