Everyone has something they love to do or collect. What's yours?

-I am a huge Sailor Moon fan and have a rather large collection, and still growing. I suppose I consider it both, a hobby and collecting

I have an unintentional Moogle collection (keychains, plushies, things like that!). It's not like I go out looking for Moogles but once I see one I can't resist!

I have a collection of Swarovski crystal animals, although it's been quite some time since I got a new one. My mom started getting me these as Christmas gifts in 5th grade. The first is still my favorite after all of these years - a little mouse with a spring for a tail :-). I also have the entire Hallmark ornament series of Mary's Angels. Again, it was a gift from family that started as a kid. My grandma is 87 and still getting one for me each year.

I love going to concerts so I like to collect all my tickets and memorabilia. I used to collect Skeleanimals.

Antique/vintage cookbooks (1940's or earlier) are my thing. I scour antique stores looking for the oldest ones I can find. I love reading through them (especially if they have handwritten notes or recipes) and being amused at the odd things people used to eat, (ham mousse or boiled tongue anyone?) and testing out now out-of-fashion but not-so-strange recipes like molasses candy.

Wow, that's very unique. I would have never thought of that, I can't imagine some of the odd things people used to each back in the day. I think i'll pass on the boiled tongue though. 🙂

@darkiceis Ahhh this thread needs reviving- especially with everyone disconnected from one another the last couple years.

Let’s see, I’m a Pikachu collector. I’m currently learning piano and also some Scottish Gaelic each day.

As the weather warms up (which is soon) I’m going to give gardening another go. Lots to learn and this will be year three of gardening for me. It gets me outside and feeling accomplished though a whole season of work for two salads is funny, I REALLY enjoy those salads:). I have big plans to not have stubby carrots this year!

@heartsmyface Those are some great hobbies! I also enjoy gardening but unfortunately my backyard needs to be redone before I start spending more time in it. Does one of those miracle grow her gardens for the kitchen count!?!

Thanks for the tag! For hobbies, I want to start reading more and I want to sign up for a Yoga class. I want to start doing things that are out of my comfort zone. There is a tree trekking course near my house and I want to try it out! I really want to spend more time on discovering what makes me happy this year!

@Mellmars1185 Those definitely count!! If you’re growing little planty life forms that need you it’s gardening even if it’s inside:) My counters are going to be taken over by baby plants and light lamps for a few weeks very soon!! Are you talking a complete landscaping overhaul?
Getting out of your comfort zone is an awesome goal! Tree trekking? What does that entail? Reading is also a good one! Do you like a certain genre?

Ha before Covid i had big plans to ‘get out of my comfort zone’ by joining cooking classes and barre workouts. plans squashed. I’m still interested in those cooking classes. @NotCrocker @QueenMarceline @CookieGirl1

Oh wow, what a fun thread. As far as beauty related items go:

1) Red colored, rare/"special" embossed, unique lipsticks. I buy them and never use them, then just stare at them. 😂 I don't know why and my collection is small but it's something I always keep an eye out for.

2) Perfumes. I don't have an insane collection but definitely a substantial one.

3) Shoes. I own more than 150 pairs and I seriously need to declutter my shoe collection LOL. 😁

I love crafting in my free time.

I collect makeup items especially the limited edition and pretty packaging ones, tote bags or the ones with a gwp, Hello Kitty/Sanrio items, Tokidoki and Jujube bags.

The idea behind the classes was to get out and just DO something, ANYTHING! And then we were locked down hard😅.
