Have you ever been browsing around the Dollar Store and found some amazing beauty finds? Lately I have been seeing lots of great name

brand finds.

Today I found:

Aveeno body wash in vanilla and oats for $5.00

J.R Watkinds hand soap im coconut for $3.00

And a loofa to scrub my back for $2.25

Great finds @Mellmars1185! I know everyone was up in arms when Dollarama announced they would be raising the maximum price of their products to $5.00 but they’ve been able to bring in a bunch of recognizable brands.

@JoSometimes Thank you! Ya, when I heard it on the news, I was not surprised. When I visited the store afterwards, I noticed they had a larger variety of items. As long as there lower priced items don't go up too much I am happy.

I was inspired by @RGbrown’s Dollar Tree haul and went to the one location I know of because I had a little time to kill.

I saw a number of brands that were unfamiliar to me except for LA Colours. I used their makeup when I first started out but wasn’t fond of it. Hopefully their nail polish is better. I picked up a copper glitter topper and a creamy sky blue.

I’ve also been wanting a hot Barbie pink colour, so I grabbed something from a brand called Colour Vibe.

And a couple of tools. I cheap eyeshadow brush to use as a clean up brush and a stamper. I’m hoping I can use it as a way to do a quick and easy French tip.

@JoSometimes Neat finds! The polish shades sound cool. I have not heard of Colour Vibe before. I am looking forward to seeing your upcoming manis...especially with the stamper! It is always nice to have some extra brushes handy.

@CynthieLu Thank you! Sometimes I am so impressed with what I find. I see some great DYI projects done with items from the dollarstore aswell. My go to item is the bag of cotton balls I use to remove my nail polish and eye makeup.

A stamper at Dollar Tree?!? That's awesome! I wonder now if my store had one and I just wasn't looking for it? I've never seen one in store (aside from Ulta many many years ago) so it's never been on my radar to watch for.

LA Colors can be good! I adore their shimmers and glitters, all I've tried are very well done. Their creams can be a bit sheer, more jelly like, at least the couple I have. Their brush is a bit awkward, to me at least, it borders on entirely too big.

I saw Color Vibe here too, they just didn't have any shades I wanted, so I skipped it. Am curious to hear how it is!

I notice a Dollar Tree went into what used to be a CVS in a neighboring town. I'm super curious how it compares to the small one by my work. It's one of my fave destinations now!

@Mellmars1185 Thank you! The brush has already gone missing. I had it in a bag and I think it fell out.

The stamper is also not really worth getting. I brushed on some white polish to try a nail. I tried to remove the excess on the stamper and it looked like this after.

The copper topper from LA Colours is really nice though! I’m wearing in the photo of the stamper. I’ll take a picture tomorrow when there’s better light.

@RGbrown I’m sad to report that the stamper isn’t great. I tried to do one nail using a white Sally Hansen polish. It started to eat away at the jelly.

I do like the LA colour topper I bought. I’m wearing it currently. Will post a photo tomorrow.

Dollar store hauls don’t count for low-buys right?

I went to one of those indie dollar stores out of curiosity. Unlike the big chains, you really never know what’s inside these. I’ve been looking for toe separators for pedicures, sponges to try ombré manicures, another cheap brush for manicure clean up, and a compact mirror I can keep with my makeup stash. This dollar store had them all!

The real star is the purple glitter topper. I avoided the LA Colour creams but I really liked the copper topper, so I thought I’d give this purple one a whirl.

They had an entire stand of some obscure but really pretty looking polishes. I opened one that had red and white glitters to check its consistency and caught a big whiff of some really wicked solvents, so I put it back.

@JoSometimes Nice Dollar Store finds. I really like finding the small Dollar Stores. You really never know what you are going to find. That is the most fun part. You got some neat nail items. The purle polish looks fun. Is that mirror in the shape of a cat😺?
