In store sample requests. What did you get?

I try my best to always ask for samples when I am shopping/browsing at various beauty stores. I mean the worst thing that could happen is they say “we don’t have any samples to give out at the moment” (which has happened to me countless times). In the end, you won’t know unless you ask and try.

Please share your in store sample requests. I know every store is different but it’s always nice to see what is offered or what you can get.

At Downtown Disney Sephora last week to get the new SDJ After Hours perfume mist. They only had men cologne as a sample which is perfect for my husband to try. I actually like the smell of this one.

Was at my local Ulta picking up an online order for the beauty sale they have and asked if they had any samples. They gave me Chanel 😊

@SportyGirly125 you've had great luck! I was at Ulta today and forgot to ask. The last time I remembered to ask, it was a no-go and I guess I forgot about it.

I was at Sephora last week for a return. Would it be in poor taste to ask for samples when making a return?

@SportyGirly125 When we used to have a SiJCP and I would ask for samples (not like the testers little samples) I was always told no, those were for people who sign up for the credit card. Sometimes I would get lucky and if the manager wasn't around whoever was working would sometimes put a few in my bag, without asking,...that rarely happened though.

I almost never ask anymore because i keep being told they dont have any.

Sometimes i feel like they dont want to give them if you dont spend alot of money.

They should give samples even we only spend 15$, its part of marketing and service, so i dont understand.

I know one thing though, certain employees are snober.

I need to try and remember to ask for samples, like you said the worst that could happend is that they would say or pretend they would have none, and that isnt the end of the world (CT's pricing is though lol jk).

I went to check out a few things in store earlier this week, one of them being a tinted moisturizer. The advisor who helped me offered to make me a small sample to take home and try. She said they just started offering samples of products on the shelves again. I’m having a bit of a rough skin week but I’m excited to try out once my skin is feeling better.

She actually gave me two samples in different containers because she thought one might pop open and leak everywhere. One did (if you look closely at the middle of the bag) but not the one we thought would leak.

Not really a store sample for me but, I recently picked up this nylon boar bristle mixed brush from Beyooteful and it has been a game changer in my hair routine! It easily glides though my hair without any tugging or pulling and great for styling as well!
