Since Shoppers Drug Mart’s beauty boutique has expanded and started selling a lot of the products I buy at Sephora, I’ve stopped buying at Sephora and now buy almost everything at Shoppers Drug Mart. If you’re not familiar or are from a place where Shoppers Drug Mart doesn’t exist, they have the ‘PC optimum’ points system where instead of giving you samples of things you probably won’t use, the accumulated points get you discounts on future purchases! For example 8,000 points equals 10$ off etc. It’s a great system and you accumulate points pretty fast, especially if you’re a makeup buyer. Not only are the rewards in the Bazaar always sold out, but I personally have a set hair & skincare routine, like many people, so I have no use for random products, as well as the fact that I don’t like to create extra plastic waste with all these tiny samples. All the points I’ve accumulated are going to waste. I’m not interested in a tote bag, or towel, or blanket, I’m interested in savings. My point is, Makeup is expensive and we spend A LOT of money at Sephora. Don’t you think it’s time Sephora improved their points system? With love, Chelsea

Eh, don't get too excited. The return value is horrendous. $500 spend gets you $10 off, and you can only use (1) $10 off per tranasaction. It'll be a way to spend down whatever points you have, but from what I've seen of SDM's system, you'll still be better off buying from them when you can.

I have been wondering about this for some time, agree and would love to see the sephora point system change. Couple of years ago, I finally FINALLY reached VIB Rouge, saving up my points, only for the gift to be 4 or 5 deluxe sample sized products. It's such a disappointment especially after spensing SO much money. I'll never spend like that again. It would be awesome for those points to qualify as money off my future sephora purchases similar to Ulta point system. Have a wonderful day 😊
